Fast & Furious Attraction?

I think with my Disney cap on (Universal gets more and more WDW guests and they need to give something recognisable) and immagine an omnimover ride. First off there is a street scene and we see AA of the characters. They move as life like as the dwarfs in the 7 dwarfs mine ride and probably sing a song while working on their cars. Then you see cars racing. There is a wind effect and a backdrop with a woesh effect. The next scene is where 2 cars on kuka robot arms collide and fiberoptics creating a sparkeling explosion (not to loud ofcourse). In the end all actors are there waving and wishing us a magical fast and funny day. Exit trough a huge Walmart size gift shop with a fibertie fabertie fast and the furius boutique to get a Vin Diesel or Michelle Rodriguez makeover.

I'm ok with Uni doing their own thing. They copied Disney for a decade and didn't really get anywhere. It was when they started being "Universal" that they started gaining popularity.

At this point, Uni isn't really paying much attention to the guys down the road. They are too busy counting all that money.

Not sure if this is relevant here but I just got back from UO and the whole scene where the street caves in on Disaster didn't work at all last week. Just the water, other tram and "earthquake" effects. It was as if half the ride was missing.... do you think they'll even bother fixing it or just leave it and crack on with turning this into F&F?

The Disaster effects and ride system have been hit or miss for a while now. They're basically just keeping it running until the end of the year, if I had to guess

Thats a HUGE effect to be missing though it's a huge part of the ride.. it was a real shame.. again as I was with a UO first timer.

I wouldn't be surprised if it closes for HHN and never reopens.

Most of the ride scenes include downtown, but the setting doesn't have to be. it could be forced imagery along a test track type ride.

I liked Briman's idea of extending NY & using it as the scene since it's reportedly the next movie. That would be an easy adaptation.

Better Question. IF not L.A. What would the setting be or could be for a FF ride? Where are the New FF movies going to be set? (if anyone has an idea) Just taking in Skull Islands addition and trying to get an idea of what Uni wants to do with a Franchise like FF who has multiple settings just as Kong.

Yeah the San Fran area is really so tiny..the only reason it made thematic sense is because of Earthquake

I hope so... I really am not too psyched about a tram ride with screens.
