I am 100% convinced this needs to become a Godzilla ride. The ride belongs in San Fran, one, and two, the ride system could actually be reused with a story similar to the original Kongfrontation.

The Queue becomes an evacuation center out of the city, via bus, with the pre-show becoming the appropriate safety spiel (that keeps getting interrupted with breaking news). Effects are added to make the room "shake" at intervals. We load the bus. The practical alley is now destroyed with one of the kaiju in the distance. We take a detour through a make-shift military base in a warehouse, and get a musion scene with updates and see an escort vehicle on the riser. Now, the biggest effect change occurs, when the practical ceiling of the musion scene collapses, revealing a forced-perspective Godzilla animatronic looming over you. We now speed into the 360 room and witness the battle between Godzilla and a kaiju. The battle ends with a flash of blinding light as Godzilla unleashes his atomic breath and we arrive in the safe zone (a new practical scene where, in the distance, we see Godzilla sink back into the ocean).

If they're SMART, they add a random aspect to it, where each story features Godzilla battling a different kaiju. That kaiju is first seen in the practical city before the musion and there is a uniquely choreographed fight/ride program for each.

And like that, you have made me even more angry of Drupercharged. Thank's a lot, jerk. :tease:;)

I'm looking for a post-military career, @Universal. Check out this reference!
I'm serious. I normally hate arm-chair imagineering/home grown blue sky ideas, but that's good.

The only downside with it is that even more comparisons will be made between Kong and the new Godzilla ride since they use the same ride technology. Not that comparisons aren't made already with F&F there, but it would be even more apparent when they both feature giant monster properties.

Still, great concept.

It's a complete clone of Kong in every way. The similarities would be blindingly obvious- to the point of them being almost the same ride.
And yet, it's still lightyear's better than F&F and I'd pick this ride today in a heartbeat.

I'd rather see Godzilla get something akin to Indy/Spidey/Transformers than the F&F/Kong stuff., but that is a good concept.
Me too, but budget. Considering they just spent (how much?!?!) on a new building and replicated ride system, reusing it is more practical.

Besides, then we have an extremely "Kong vs Godzilla" thing going on...

Aren't they all part of the same world in Skull Island? That would be a really cool multi-dimensional simalirity with the ride systems, although not many people would get it beyond the forums.

I want this. So badly. Beijing?

If Godzilla comes he deserves a “King’s” treatment. Not reuse. Use the expansion plot behind Men in Black. Make it a hybrid of the Spider-Man and forbidden journey tech. It needs to take place in Tokyo as 1)where it all began and 2) I feel it visually would be far more exciting. You also add in water elements with some of the action taking place in Tokyo harbor.

Have the land bleed into hello kitty and then to Kung fu Panda land and you get Asia Courtyard. Could care less about the rest if we get Godzilla though. He is King.

Just some food for thought all those that think the technology of F&F to work for Godzilla because of Kong I have just one question, have you honestly thought of the perspective height of the creature we ar looking at. Kong is a mere 35 ft vs 35 ft V-Rex’s. Godzilla is +400 ft approaching 500 in the newest form. The distant we would need to be interacting with a creation of the height to truly see the scope. Its a deluded appeal as not much close ups. The talk of using the bus evacuated approach is why I say. It’s ground level no change vertical appearance. This is what I believe most are missing. It will lack very quickly as the far aesthetic to the action bores or so close as to be unaware of the true action. Size is what most forget here and the distinction between Godzilla and King Kong is huge. Forget the movie coming out(Godzilla will destroy) but the actual movies they are based on, hell based on the original Gojira(1954) he was still 158 ft or over 4 times the height of King Kong. Imagine 10 t0 or 15 times becomes hard from a found perspective right.

I’m the biggest Godzilla (seen every film and I mean every, still own VHS’s and even VHS tv recordings) fan there is and would be there opening day for an attraction but he deserves the attraction of a king, something historic, epic and massive. Not a refurb.

we all know a godzilla ride would involve SCREENZ anyway. thats a given

Not the screenz man. We already know. The distance at which the perspective of the action works. Kong 35 ft is on top of us in action. Godzilla 400-500 ft on top of us and we admire what a toe nail. Godzilla fan here man as I said my den is ridiculous and wife and daughter judge me constantly: lived 3 years in Okinawa as a military brat and beyond adore Godzilla. Would worship an addition but you all say F&F is a forced attraction now imagine how much worse this could be with a beloved global icon pushing 7decades forced into a ride never designed with him in mind nor his actual scale.

Oh yeahhh, THAT's why Legacy has 3x as many likes than posts. That and his riddles.

They could have Godzilla's big toe in the space where Kong's head & torso are. That would solve the size issue.....Tourist reaction, "Wow, look at that toe. And the toenail looks absolutely frightening & dangerous too". At that point something 'terrible' goes wrong. Namely, hang nail develops.:bolt:

I would totally be fine with riding by this.
