I wish it felt more like a Star Wars and Toy Story parkAs a Star Wars fan - a Star Wars park sounds incredible.
But from the POV of an average theme park goer, Star Tours feels like overkill in DHS (not DL). Only because there’s 3 attractions in a park with a severely limited amount of rides, and it’s a simulator just like Smugglers. It feels like DHS is now “Star Wars and Toy Story the park”.
Totally get it about capacity and investments now though. But pre-Covid, I was hoping they would change ST sooner than later, even if they made it a Big Hero 6 or Incredibles simulator.
This would only happen as part of a massive redevelopment and not just refreshing Animation Courtyard - there’s a cafeteria that part of the Brown Derby/Disney Junior building that isn’t going anywhere unless you kick all the office people out.connect it to the end of Sunset.
Change “didn’t know what to do” to “the ancillary stuff lost funding” and you’ve hit the nail on the head. It‘s much closer to a full day park now but it feels like it’s missing the last 10% because it is.To me it feels like a "we didn't know what to do with this space so we filled it with Star Wars until Galaxy's Edge opened and now we still don't know what to do with it" park
Gotta think we're looking at Mando, Grogu, Ahsoka, Bo-Katan, etc for this update. An updated ride film is coming in 2024...
