I wonder how much of it was due to UoE being in such poor shape in order to let it run another year or two would require way too much money.

Supposedly, there is still one last Dinosaur they have to get out. The reason it has taken so long is because they need to be especially careful with it is in incredibly rough shape and may literally crumble if they tried to move it as is.

As I understand, it's the base that may crumble, the Dinosaur is still good. I'm not sure if Disney plans to put the Dino anywhere, but they love to recycle parts from old AAs. For example, the new Red head ("Red") in Pirates is actually a recycled AA from GMR with a new skin.

You can see the track layout with all the footers in the aerial view. However trying to piece together the layout and where it goes is another story.
