Usually the Insiders at Magic have been pretty good on Disney info, though rarely Universal info. But on the last two predictions that were kind of universal among all the Magic insiders, their info didn't hold. *Tower of Terror Guardians overlay *Location of Star Wars land in DHS. None of the insiders had this correct. And they were all pretty confident where they thought it was going.Even had maps up for months & kept echoing each others opinions. ......Not to say they're wrong on this too. Maybe they're right. But it seems that lately they've not received correct info or they're being fed wrong info on purpose. Just a thought.

I believe the ToT was legit close to being GotG, and the SWE location changed because Disney changed the location when they decided to compress the construction timeline.

So basically you are saying they want to start sooner rather than later and they can't take ToT down until SWL is open?

The only thing that saved ToT is the fact they want GotG NOW, and DHS' capacity won't allow them to take another E Ticket at DHS down for a year to do the switchover.

And the moving of SWE was simply because the BLT was already closed and the site prep could happen MUCH sooner than the Echo Lake area. And to build in the Echo Lake area, Star Tours would have had to go down as soon as construction started further hurting the parks capacity.

Hell, it ain't like DHS has ever been over-burdened with E Tickets. What a poop hole.

The last time I was at DHS, as we were leaving (about 2:30pm), my comment was, "Man! What a miserable little park".

DHS is hell now. Miserable little park says pretty much everything.

Still: so much crap is going around that I'm still unwilling to believe anything. Sorry.

Eh, why are there dinosaurs in the current ride? Dr. Science even lampshades that the idea Dino turned into today's unleaded has been proven to be coprolite since 1982.

Visited EPCOT Center in 1983. It was literally my favorite place on Earth. But it's been been a decaying corpse for well over a decade. If they can at least build something fun that doesn't look like the remnants of a dumpster fire, I'll make up my own theme in my head.

But when justification by people on Twitter and on this board is "Disney cares about thematics and mission statements" for why other parks suck and Disney can justifiably cost more it's insane. I don't take kindly to hypocrisy and BS. I'm not saying you're part of it Schuck, but if I ever hear one more time how Epcot is the best park in the world I'll snap. I do hold Disney to a higher standard because they demand it with price and calling out Walt's name.

Perhaps I was inarticulate with my wording. It's disappointing that a park with as many holes to fill as EPCOT would rather tear down an existing attraction rather than use an empty building.

If GotG is coming to EPCOT, it's become obvious that Disney doesn't gives a crap about theme anymore and that they're just cravenly grabbing at quick money.

There's so many spots for a GotG E-ticket (Speedway replacement, between Space Mt/CoP, or Stitch in Tomorrowland; somewhere in DHS).

Tomorrowland is in dire need for something (anything!). It has to be one of the weakest lands on WDW property.

Seems like a better fit to me, rather than shoe horning another IP into EPCOT.

Supposedly GotG would be using an empty building... WoL is a part of the plan. If it were to be greenlit, WoL would be demolished and a new build.

But that's Phase 2. With Phase 1 going into Energy.

Just pointing out that WoL is technically a part of the plan in some form.

I think the fear is that phase 2 won't materialize.

Does Guardians of the Galaxy really need that massive of a complex? Seems to me like the smarter thing to do would be to go the other way around and start with Wonders and then expand to Energy if phase 2 ever materializes, which, come on, gimme a break.

Right, but that's phase 2 while phase 1 takes out an existing attraction. I'd be less salty about it if they flipped the plan and added a new attraction before they take another one out.

Oh, you purists, and your silly mission statements.

At least it has the "out clause", "at EPCOT Center the future is ever-evolving and fluid".
