Ahhh good times. I remember when I saw the lineup and was so hyped. Unfortunatley The First Purge and HOB 2 happened and no Thing which kinda killed my hype.

there's some good news atleat, because the thing might happen next years event. mainly because each maze so far these year have been themed to a stranger things reference. season 1 had a scene with poltergeist tickets, season 2 had a scene with the kids dressed up as ghostbusters, and season 3 is said to draw inspiration from john carpenters the thing.

Every year since 2016 the rumors of The Thing have popped up one time or another, and they haven't been true yet, so for me its sorta become one of those properties I'll believe when I see it with my own eyes.

Given how revolutionary the Thing house in 2007 was for Orlando, I wouldn't be surprised to see it at 30.

On Twitter, Murdy said he would love to do The Thing; I guess it just relies on a year when he'd want to fit it in with a lineup he believes it can work.

I mean assuming the teaser scene for Stranger Things season 3 ends up being what I assume it is, they won't really have an excuse not to do it soon since the effects will have basically been tested

My guess, and it may not be a popular one, is that he may wait to do The Thing on a year where the other IPs are either a lot of returning IPs or ones where the creative team can get away with mostly reusing props for large portions of those mazes, since an IP like The Thing would be really expensive, and I doubt a lot of the props from 2011's maze were saved.

My guess would be that if/when The Thing comes, it'll be a two year maze like Alien Vs Predator. At least that way, they can justify the costs a little. Sort of a rainy day maze, something to keep in the back pocket.

(Kinda like what Universal Monsters is right now, come to think of it)

I think Franky vs Wolfie is going to be entirely different from Uni Monsters. I'd even be surprised if they re-used the same props.

I expect the vacuform walls and curtains to make a return at least, as well as the Graveyard props from TCM. That's not bad, mind, I think it's smart business. That having been said, I definitely think the UCM mazes are gonna have an easier time getting fleshed out compared to the original maze now that they have walls and props to reuse.

Don't know why it hasn't been brought up yet (Or maybe it has and I didn't notice) but HHN's Midsummer Panel is Saturday August 3rd.

I'd guess an original maze getting announced then? Maybe the Tram maze if it is original.

I would guess that or Creepshow. One of the 2 Hollywood exclusives unless Orlando decides to be there again.

Huh, this is the first time I'm hearing that Creepshow is Hollywood exclusive. That's weird to me.

BTW is the Hellraiser SZ they're speculating an actual guess or wishful thinking for now? Because I do think it'd be a prime candidate for 2020 headliner.

A guy on the HHN reddit said Creepshow is a zone in Orlando, which wouldn’t be too weird since Face Off was a House in Hollywood but a zone in Orlando in 24

I could've sworn Murdy told someone on twitter that the rights were unavailable at the moment, but it's a "white whale" property for sure.

Pretty sure it's just a guess. And Murdy has said multiple times the rights are unavailable right now. Where they are getting it from is a HHN29 Predictions Podcast. "Predictions". So I'm pretty sure it's just a guess/speculation that they will turn into a rumor just like with everything mentioned in the Community.

*..... Gets Mentioned

"Dude remember when that guy said ..... was coming. I think it's a rumor. Not speculation or anything or just a thought. Nope a rumor."

And people would've thought Stranger Things coming back was the worst kept secret of HHN 19.
