I'm here at the front gate at Universal and I'm watching the rehearsals for the scare actors and let me tell you the warriors are very intimidating and they come in very big packs with swords knives and spears the beasts look very cool! And the score for the park is pretty scary! And I can here the Chainsaw prisoners coming!

And I saw rat lady!

Nice :thumbs: Glasses look the same as last year. I hope this house is more than just gags. I'm looking forward to some nice "tricks" to deliver some unique scares.

:happy: This is SO exciting!! I had my reservations about the street scareactors, warriors especially, but passing judgement just from looking at one costume, no make up, no props, no lighting... not fair. I trust Universal will blow me away, like they have done for the past 4 years that I've been attending the event. Can't wait for this, my 5th year! It looks like it's gonna be an awesome one!!!

He posted some more from what he saw. Take it as you will:

Prisoners:

When I was watching them during the rehearsal they where in full costume with the chain saws! From what I saw they where practicing surrounding people they where screaming very loudly and it was very freaky!

Warriors:

I was watching the rehearsals for HHN tonight and the warriors are pretty damn intimidating they have long spears and the come in a pack of 16 with two packs and the costumes look a lot better!

From what I saw they where marching and chanting thrusting there spears in the air!! I'm guessing they will march in the middle if a group of people and them scatter And attack! It would be cool for them to do a Little fighting with the spears!

Street Atmosphere:

While I was watching the rehearsals for HHN I kept getting distracted by the amount of fog and lighting effects coming from the lagoon area. I could even see the fog and lighting effects from the stage on citywalk

Props:

It looks like we might have another school bus in the park! They were bringing it in from where they used to do Ghostbusters!

The school bus that is coming from backstage is the 3rd shift for PCL construction. They have their own school bus to bring in workers from the field next to RP.

It is the best time of the year, and I love going over the course of the event. You see first hand the event evolve. What starts out your favorite will probably not be your favorite by the end.

Some information on the merchandise this year, courtesy of an email response from Uni to a HNN member:

Thank you for contacting us. Our HHN tees will not be available online this year, but you can contact us at the # below and we can take an order for you over the phone. We actually have various tees for this year. We have our normal Market tee with The Walking Dead, our House tee with “Once you’re inside, there is no way out” on the front and the houses on the back, and Alice Cooper tee and a Silent Hill tee.

Absolutely! Some of the worst hype in a long time, but I'm loving the current result. Very impressed by everything we've seen thus far.
