To this day Run it is one of the more memorable mazes that I speak of when explaining HHN to friends. I am fuzzy on the details but didn't they let you in the maze and shortly after the alarms went off and **** got cray… am I remembering this correctly? Very unique and fun experience.

You always remember your first. What a year you pick! Have fun and be terrfied.

So I guess the lagoon show won't return anytime soon. Could one wish for a video entrance at the archway but I know better.

I don't necessarily remember them letting you in the maze and then after a delay the alarms going off, but I do remember things being totes cray.

Are you thinking of Rat Run? I never saw that one but it was a precursor to Run that wasn't a true house it was in the lawn area where the stage is now (I think). I believe it was a bunch of chain link fences, with Jack on like a life guard chair and then all heck broke loose.

Yeah, Rat Run was in the area of the stage/lawn. It was in 2005, so it wasn't the precursor to Run (2001). Though you could say it was more accurate to Run then Hostile Territory was since it was a actual maze, though there wasn't much of all heck breaking loose like the original. If I recall the only actor for the whole thing was Jack up on some scaffolding in the middle of the maze heckling people, and there were a couple guest activated triggers outside the maze for certain sections. (Air blast, water, one door switch)

Well thanks to HHN Memories, they actually have the house treatment to the original version. http://hhnmemories.tumblr.com/post/885377977/run-house-treatment
I did notice that some of the stuff in the original treatment did actually make it into the final version, since I do remember seeing a picture of the carpenter, compleate with nailed face and Nail (Air) gun. Same goes with actors with air guns in places.

I thought we ended the Shadybrook chapter after that last (mediocre) house but I get it. Anniversary year and all. Alice in 3D I believe could be a dud or a sleeper hit. Only time will tell.

It's set to take place in the Blizzard of 1888. What year did the last house take place? This could be a prequel.

collectors vs shadybrook? I have no idea how this could work since the asylum patients are dead now. Also run 3 with no Eddie is missing the entire point. Alice in 3D sounds amazing and bleh on hallow'd 2

According to Legacy at the HNN forums, The Body Collectors visit Shadybrook during the great blizzard of 1888.

oh, but still body collectors are in Britain, why would they go to a different country at a time when plane travel wasn't a thing for insane asylum patients? Especially when Britain is chock full of Asylums, even more so in the early late 1800's. What the sense make

Body Collectors, or the Gentleman, do not have a "homebase".

Yeah, these guys were originally based in Terra Cruentes. They're otherworldly - they can be wherever and whenever the plot needs them to be.

Insane asylums, especially one as messed up as Shadybrook, were notorious for abuse and covered-up deaths. Add in a blizzard to cut off contact with the outside world, and a Gentlemen visit actually makes a lot of sense. Easily the house I'm most excited for.

It is interesting in hindsight that I did a word of mouth poll on here a year or so ago about what people found more important. It was something like, 'design, scares, story, makeup" and most ended up saying it was the design. Yet when I watched closely last fall, everyone was saying something like "that was lame and not scary", or "wow, that was scary as hell".

It seems that scary is king with the majority of you despite what you might say when asked. I suppose that design etc can only support the scares or not.
