We must be a week or so from the beginning of announcements, right? If it starts 18 Sep and allowing a couple weeks for previews, that steps us back to around the first, which is twelve weeks or so away...

I've been to Scarowinds a couple of times, but I know it doesnt come close to Uni.

Agreed! We def need to get there, my wife is one of those that crumbles in fear, literally buckles her knees when we do haunted mazes or anything. It would be fantastic! haha

Realistically I can only see the announcement being Insidious or FVJ. Here's why I'm leaning towards Insidious:

1. Both coasts are veering away from TWD. It's not the focus on marketing this year and it's looking like TWD won't be the Terror Tram theme in Hollywood.
2. Insidious 3 did well at the box office over the weekend, but horror movies drop fast. It'll be out of most theaters by the Fourth of July. Announcing it this week could boost box office numbers ever so slightly in the period where theaters earn the least amount of a ticket sold.

Insidious has a lot of buzz right now. That would make the most sense.

If you haven't seen it yet, it's great. I went last night and it was like putting a really nice cherry on top of an already decent sundae.

I've only been to 21 and 24, but I come from eastern Canada to get to HHN. It's a dream (nightmare?) come true for a horror/haunt fan.

I'm from the area as well and last year was my first year. Not only did I go back a second time last year at the end of the event, but I plan on attending the opening weekend this fall and if the event is just as good this year and I have the money, you'll probably see me there on Halloween weekend as well.

Trust me, once you go there's no going back to Scarowinds!

If you make it down there for either weekend let me know and we can do a mini meet up of OU crew!
