So why not announce the original IP's and save the IP's as it gets closer to the full reveal?

Why confuse the GP on the website? Their bet is that people will book based on Jack + FvJ. (I don't think it's insignificant that WD is off that list, for now.) Why bother to change the message and divert attention to anything else?

Meh. I know not to give the GP a fair shake when it comes to the obvious. I just don't agree that revealing an original house a month after FvJ was announced would cause "confusion".

I, too, agree that announcing an original maze wouldn't create confusion for the GP. The GP should be aware what HHN is, and the content that they are known for. If an original maze would be announced, I think it would be fitting for the Anniversary House to be the first since that could also help spur further hype online. Just a little thought I had..

Look, I don't agree with Marketing's strategy. Just saying what they may be thinking. I think they're assuming people are stupid and don't want to devote the FB/Twitter posts to original properties (despite the fact that they're what made HHN big!)

I can totally see the GP getting confused at another house announcement. After jack got announced I heard at least 5 or 6 people say they weren't going to go because the theme was clowns.

I hope it is Scream and we learn whether its the TV show or the Movie. If I had to guess, if Hollywood is announcing Insidious, I would think they would do Insidious for Orlando as well. I'm just glad it looks like movement in making these rumors become official!

While over on Hollywood's side they're teasing that a maze announcement is happening today, and by the instagram video from yesterday it's clearly Insidious. However over here on Orlando's side, there has yet to be any tease or indication that a house announcement is happening today.

Amazing to me how nobody seems to tell the Orlando side *anything.* They clearly were unprepared for an announcement and just sort of haphazardly tossed it out there.

Still, I'm a big fan of the Insidious franchise, and it's a good fit for an adaptation.

It really is quite something. Orlando account went from "soon" to "sooner than you think" to code name to every other Universal account scooping them first.

Yes, there's no reason to believe they won't be happening. It's too late for a house to get scrapped.

^ Chances are Disaster could be closed before HHN, but that wouldn't affect the house location since they would probably just be gutting what's inside Disaster's building before demolishing after HHN.

Yeah. I believe that everything in regards to the house list is going to happen. I suppose it's more a question of the specifics of the list. For instance, what will the Anniversary house be called and what is actually in it. The same also goes for the "Blizzard" house. Another example would be the possibility of getting TWD or Fear TWD (does anyone know for certain which 1 it will be?). Scream is supposedly based on the movies, but is there a tiny chance it could be based off the tv series? Since AWiL is a repeat house, what changes are going to be made to it that warrant it being used only after 2 years?

At this point, I'm wondering more about the scare zone list specifics than the house list though.
