I really hope they can do TCM2 someday and bring in all the characters including L.G. and Stretch. Also have the creepy old abandoned amusement park setting. Maybe even Bill Moseley could play one night as Chop Top.

Been thinking, Lovecraft would be good for a 3D house as well, since that way they can do some unsettling things with color, would really capture the spirit of Lovecraft, since his work is the opposite of visceral and tends to be all about psychological strangeness and impossible colors, geometries etc.

Legacy, how many of these houses are you personally pretty pumped about? I realize that's subjective, but still - I'm interested. And was it just the one property that made you go "whoa - that was unexpected'?

Personally pumped? None, because I'm not attending (and haven't attended since 2011).

That said, Exorcist (The Announced), The Requel, Claustrophobic Jewel (Cobweb), and Shall Not Be Named have actually been enough to get me exploring what it would take to come down and see them. It still won't happen, but those four make me WANT to attend, which I can't say has happened in recent years.

That said, Exorcist (The Announced), The Requel, Claustrophobic Jewel (Cobweb), and Shall Not Be Named have actually been enough to get me exploring what it would take to come down and see them. It still won't happen, but those four make me WANT to attend, which I can't say has happened in recent years.

Well, that's really saying something. Four properties that are unique, scary or at least interesting enough to make you want to end a 5 year break? That's nothing to sneeze at. And apologies if you've already posted this or if others have speculated and you've answered already - but of those four, what's the balance between IPs and originals (if you don't want to spell it out house by house, that's fine, be as generic as you like)?

Thanks for making this lead-up fun, by the way. I hardly ever post because I'm far off in Canada and hardly feel like an "insider", but I really enjoy these discussions as they lead up to the event.

SS location makes me more convinced the Expected is Krampus.

This Shall Not Be Named still driving me nuts. Out of left field, enough to make Legacy consider ending a 5-year hiatus, apparently the same show-stopper IP my source teased. I have a feeling it will blow up the Internet once announced. Maybe they're saving it for when the new Frozen ride opens...

Shall Not Be Named will be the mega house in SS21. It's the only SS not actually specified in Legacy's list and that was the 25th mega house for 25.

Some new info. No Conjuring. Got an "uh-huh" on the two that have been more or less confirmed (Halloween 2, Ghost Town requel)--tbh, the former sounds like a bit of a cost-cutting measure, similar to AWiL, just more cleverly disguised, but I'm ok with whatever it takes to get us to 9 houses.

I know longer think Cobweb is Catacombs. Sounds like something more involved than a straight remake.

And I learned the identity of the mega-house. Since no one else has definitively guessed it yet--it's large enough to hold the seven wonders. Number one for me being, "Wonder why they kept bothering?"

I think cobweb is a brand new concept, not a sequel to any previous original houses. Mike seems to be pretty excited about it so that's a good sign!

Also, seems like "Shall not be named" is driving everyone bananas! Even had me thinking it was Game of Thrones for a bit...
