I think AHS would be awesome, however with the rights and this being a "creative team passion project", I don't know how it could relate to AHS. Again I hope I'm wrong!!!

I think AHS has a ton of concept material to work with from certain seasons. The 1st season Murder House and 2nd season Asylum for me would be the creepiest!
It also would serve as a way to save money by using the set pieces from insidious for house design and asylum sets from Body Collectors last year. Freakshow, conceptually is a scary idea but was the worst season I'm my opinion followed by Coven and finishing up with Hotel. All and all, plenty of material to get creative with. The flow and overall theme would be my biggest concern

Seriously though, AHS has some really great visuals, it's the story telling that falls apart.

They always start off strong, and then lose their way with wayyyy to many characters and story lines before completely falling apart at the end.

There are quite a few characters that would be really cool in a house, and the whole show is really just based on horror tropes and locations (house, asylum, circus, hotel, etc).

My wife is almost always familiar with any IP announced for HHN, and whether I think they're great properties or not, her reaction is usually a pretty even keel of "cool". If they dropped True Blood? She'd lose her mind. I'd be completely apathetic.

I have recently heard a firm icon was chosen. I'll be interested to see what shakes out and if it turns out to be true since I believe the source is solid.

From what I've heard...and I'm being vague on purpose...it's definitely happening and it's a strong concept. I was excited.

Well as unlikely as it seems to all of us, I suppose there is always a chance of an icon.

If this is right, then perhaps that is what the very mysterious Unknown house may be?

Honestly, watched season 3 and much of 4--some interesting iconography that may translate well into a house. But it just feels like this was last firmly part of the zeitgeist for everyone but Gaga fans back around the start of season 3. Then again, maybe it's a play to expand the HHN fan base beyond the typical drunken dude-bro demo it's often derided for.

Are we firm on how many original vs IP? Is SS21 (Mega) an original location? If yes AHS is not your mega.

Still hoping here that Mega = some type of HR Bloodngutz / past house mash up.

(No idea what the Shrek house is, just saying we can't be surprised IPs grab most of the primo SS slots.)
