AHS has its fair share of disturbing and visually scary moments. Each season could hold up a house of its own easily. In terms of scary material,

Keep hope alive.

Honestly, watched season 3 and much of 4--some interesting iconography that may translate well into a house. But it just feels like this was last firmly part of the zeitgeist for everyone but Gaga fans back around the start of season 3. Then again, maybe it's a play to expand the HHN fan base beyond the typical drunken dude-bro demo it's often derided for.

So it's finally happening. I don't watch the show anymore but there's great house potential.

6 IP's and no AHS leaves me with -

O - T1 - Cobweb - Catacombs / other
O - SS22 - Requel - Ghost Town / other
O - Shrek - Unknown (assuming original unless it's 7 IPs)

IP - T2 - TCM
IP - T3 - TWD
IP - Parade - H2
IP - SS24 - Exorcist
IP - SS24 - Krampus / other
IP - SS21 - Mega - Not AHS, not Icon or maybe Icon

Assuming 9 houses. This is fun. :D

Nice list. I know Legacy was firm with 6 IP's.
Last I heard Purge could potentially still be a scare zone. P&T could be the 2nd show.

They do one out in Vegas. Is there an exclusive agreement, would it be possible for it to be there and at HHN?

Realistically... What are the odds that we'd get both TWD and AHS in the same year? Maybe it's me, but that scenario seems unlikely.

This isn't the first time I've seen this argument, but my curiosity is piqued. TV shows (especially now) don't actively compete with each other over viewership. Someone who watches a dramatic show with horror elements on Sundays at nine is not unable to watch a horror show with drama elements on Wednesdays at ten. Even being on separate channels, the two shows are not in direct competition. The audiences have a lot of overlap, but bringing in both doubles the incentive to attend for those who watch both while extending an interest for those who only watch one. They're not mutually exclusive.

But from a popularity perspective, the 2 are not even close. I think they probably decided (or were forced) to bring in TWD to the event because it had a gigantic fanbase. While I'm sure there are many fans of AHS here posting on this site, the show only pulled in a little under 3 million viewers (which was a drop in viewership 2 years in a row) last year as compared to TWD that brought in over 13 million. Pretty big difference. 1 is more of a cash cow than the other and there is no debate about it.

Also... I just don't see them moving more in the direction of using more tv show ips versus movie. Just my opinion (unless something incredible appears on the scene).

AVP and FVJ are both from movies. Are their other VS movies around with horror icons?

Edit: Oh wait Ash Vs Evil Dead. Yeah we need that!

Doomsday, is my response to your statement about popularity. Popularity has never been the only reason they bring in an IP.

As much of a hunk of crap that film was (not sure about house?), it was a movie distributed by Universal, so at least it makes a miniscule amount of sense.
