The survey is confidential because it contains IP's that aren't at this year's event, but also that we shouldn't cancel them out for future years. If you're catching my drift you'll tell what the survey was

There is a fine line to figuring out codenames for potential stories that may be told; to confidental survey's that would most likely get you a week ban if you say it.

I know I shouldn't ask but any chance our good ol pals Bioshock or Outlast finally got considered

Neither Bioshock or Outlast were featured in the survey.

I wouldn't post it here because we are not to post anything behind the scenes or confidential on this site. (TOS) I respect the owner and staff too much to do that to them.

And the survey explicitly says it's confidential and shouldn't be disclosed. I took it, and there's nothing of particular note (especially with how it was structured). But it still was presented as a confidential survey. If we don't respect that process we won't get the opportunity to keep doing it in the future.

And I figured out what the Ifrit was talking about in its "names of station" clue. I feel like I can play a bit on this one because I still don't know much about the streets (and this one is stupid). Names of station are notable names. And it doesn't refer to icons, it says they're "iconic" names of note. So... IPs. What IPs... *shrug*

What if it isn't precisely Icons, but something similar to what was done for 21; with different stations around a scarezone displaying an element of the theme that is being represented?

I can't think of what that could be done with IP's, and that with Universal having done little areas devoted to one thing in previous years (like as I said from 21 and even 25 to an extent); I could actually see them take a swing with that.

Maybe? My guess it's one of three possible things:

Classic Monsters (potentially presented as the Dark Universe but that part's unlikely)
The Titans of Terror - We get blindsided by Nightmare Man, Hockey Mask Killer, Chainsaw Cannibal, and others in their own zone.
The Soul Collectors for the IPs that are already represented at the event also get featured as a "Welcome" zone.

Thanks everyone for keeping the contents confidential, makes @Brian G. and I happy.

I can say the survey was about IPs, which ones someone has heard of, and ones thoughts on them. Remember, next years event's planning starts as soon as the current one starts!

One thing I will mention with the survey, is that the survey itself shines variety in many way's. I will say no more than that, as I can't wait to hear potential rumors for next year.

I hope to see some of that survey pan out for next year; as I wouldn't be surprised if they haven't tried to start talks a bit earlier than usual (keep in mind, TiTE was first thought of for Hollywood for an insane amount of time).

I am appreciative of this board existing and whoever maintains it and I don't want to break any rules... but I still don't get it... revealing the survey here would definitely have zero effect on the survey results or any decisions universal would make regarding any IPs. Plus I took a survey a few years ago and it listed like 20 IPs and asked my opinions on them... I'm pretty sure almost if not none of them were ever utilized by universal... I just don't understand why it's so important something that is being sent to a large number of people be kept secret on a board about trying to figure out what is coming next... Should we lock all threads until official announcements are made because I don't really think we are supposed to know these things like Dragons Challenge closing or Kid Zone being replaced by Nintendoland. ... I'm sorry ... I promise I'm done complaining.

I think you missed the point. I don't think anyone here has a problem with the concept of revealing the survey. The thing is the people taking the survey have entered into an agreement with Universal not to reveal the information in the survey. If someone comes on here and posts information from the surveys then this website is contributing to violating an agreement with Universal. If Universal has a problem with that content being posted, they can't exactly go after an anonymous forum member they have to go after those who are hosting the information that would ultimately fall to the owners of this site. It's not about stifling discussion, but rather protecting this forum for all of us.

The thing is the people taking the survey have entered into an agreement with Universal not to reveal the information in the survey. If someone comes on here and posts information from the surveys then this website is contributing to violating an agreement with Universal. If Universal has a problem with that content being posted, they can't exactly go after an anonymous forum member they have to go after those who are hosting the information that would ultimately fall to the owners of this site. It's not about stifling discussion, but rather protecting this forum for all of us.

Ok, that does make more sense. I could see how it could be detrimental to the board if it was a place where people commonly broke confidentiality agreements. I apologize for being so ornery.

Just to add - I thoroughly enjoy getting these survey opportunities, and Id hate to possibly damage receiving them in the future by posting here and explicitly going rogue to what they asked us to agree to. Just my .02
