There was the question of 10th house or 2nd show. They likely made the decision later than the other nine. I don't think it's that big a mystery since it isn't going to be a "special house" and it being in Shrek should have tempered expectations right away. Still hoping for a cool sixth original. Just do Wonderland Asylum 3D again. I loved that.

Coupled with a HHN survey doing the rounds recently asking about houses being repeated, my guess now is it’ll be a repeat house. Cheap way of getting another house, and helps keeping crowds off the streets and more distributed around the park. If it is a repeat house then I’d presume more likely to be an original rather than an IP. No rights issues, so less chance of it being pulled last minute.

So is Surprise in Shrek? It corresponds quite well to the gif you posted earlier. Purge has appeared five times, you posted that gif five times.

I still hope the "tenth house" is an upcharge because if it isn't prices will shoot up and ten (non-upcharge) houses might result in there not being any one house that fits the "all-time great" mold, if that makes sense--though if Purge happens, there's at least one house that will cost them very little. DE2 won't be overly expensive either. Plus, there not being a mega house will help.

Yeah, I hope there isn’t an upcharge house this year. For them to remove a big show like B&T, then add an upcharge house. Yeah, no, I would not like that at all.

I AM expecting 10 houses (no upcharge) and only one show (AoV, which I was told several weeks ago would move into FFL if there was only one show).

Surprise is going in the MiB Tent, at least that’s what Legacy said a few pages ago. Curious to see where ST: Path of the Wicked goes if it pans out since the sets could be really grand for that maze

Locations so far are:

- Surprise: MiB Tent
- Stranger Things(Fireball): SS22
- Trick ‘r Treat(Dynamite): Parade Building
- Dead Exposure: Patient Zero(Zero): Sprung Tent 1


What if Shrek is The Thing? On HNN a few weeks ago someone said they got a list of what won’t be at the event for sure and Halloween & AHS were the only notable ones, and that Thing & Lost Boys weren’t on it.

These points all make sense. Interesting gamble, if it proves to be true. UOR has to know capacity going to be an issue without B&T, and even an unpopular house will draw a 40-minute line at peak times. Rather than try and fail once again to capture lightning in a bottle with a new show, put that budget toward a cheap-to-design repeat house.

Ooh I would love a return maze. They've had some great stuff these last couple years. What would be the easiest? Exorcist prop Reagans were probably expensive like the AWiL puppets. It seems like the returns are IPs but idk which are harder to get the rights too. Shining sounds like it might have been a pain, and Insisdious has been over saturated.

I'd accept an improved krampus maze to compliment TrT since they're from the same guy and are great holiday films in their own ways.

Why do you belive of an IP as a return maze? The would have to pay for it so I would say an OP would be much easier and sth. like Psychoscarepy could be very cheap and popular at the same time.

Very true. Just a return house would probably be cheaper and easier to pull off at short notice as most of the props etc should be in storage. If it’s a new concept then great. If it’s a returning concept then I hope it’s something epic from the past.
