The second word is maxima which is pretty common in spells, but I can't figure out the first word. The sfx of the spell hitting obscures it at the vital moment.

^ Yeah, that is a great opening to the ride... the slow magnetic pull of the vehicle forward at Belatrix command. If they get the drop effect right then it should be ticklish at least.

I'm pretty sure she says "bombarda maxima."

From a Potter spells webpage:
--- Bombarda Causes a small, locally contained explosion. To make a bigger explosion, one could use “bombarda maxima”

So for funsies I cross referenced a supposed layout of the ride with some construction pics from inside and came up with this. The colors match up the stuff and the black lines are where i believe the pov of the camera to be.

OMG.....absolutely stunning. Universal really IS the new Disney in terms of attraction quality and theming.

Bring on Phase 3, 4, etc if Comcast continues to exhibit a willingness to spend money and hire the best in the business to bring us these new worlds, attractions, and experiences!

Yeah Universal is ahead of Disney attraction wise as of now. The problem with Disney is their construction (imagineering) process is very slow compared to Universal.

More clips with extended ride footage, that left tunnel grate slamming shut, more AA goblin goodness, and more of the head goblin's speech about opening an account. Their day of reveals did NOT disappoint!

Wow. The scene with Bellatrix looks so real, at first I thought it was a physical set with some kind of musion effect. But clearly the whole thing is a 3D screen. It looks amazing.

I think the ceiling of the loading station looks a bit awkward. Maybe when you're actually there for the ride it won't be lit up so bright and will have better lighting. I just don't get why they did the orange color for the stalactites? They look very unnatural to me, plus they are grouped in small circular chandelier-like sections. It would have been nice if the whole ceiling was raised and covered completely in stalactites, to look more like a cave. Not to be a complainer, because overall everything looks amazing. I'm just wondering why they did it this way. The early concept art looked better. It doesn't look like the load area in the movie.

well yeah it would have been nice if they found an actual cave and dug a ride out of it, but they sadly had to settle for a building. They also had to be wise on their budget. Considering how amazing the lobby looks, I think they made the right choice here. There is only so much you can do to hide the fact that you are in a giant soundstage. a building is a building is a building.

Concept Art always looks a little more fantastic then the real world.

Also, I woudln't worry too much about those ride vidoes. Seeing them in person in 3D vs on Youtube is a pretty different experience.

Correction to a previous statement that I made. While I can confirm that there will be a tangible element to the ride's dragon, I cannot confirm that there will be an actual AA.

I apologize for jumping to an unfounded conclusion!

So tangible element is that there will be real smoke? Or are we still getting real fire in the ride?

The trolls are a bit wonky, but other than that, everything else looks stunning. I have to imagine that the troll portion wasn't as far along as the rest.

So was it right to assume that the body will be on a screen by the head will be an animatronic element?
That would be a very cool utilization of both elements - like the dragon in FJ but better... Thanks for the update! And there's no need to apologize - we all make assumptions, sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong...

I would think the tangible element may just be that we feel the heat or the wind off of the dragon's wings as it flies away. This is purely based on the fact that Teebin cannot confirm that there will be any AA aspect to the dragon itself.

Or maybe, the entire dragon is projected, but "fire" comes through the screen?

The circles are because they're coming through vents in the ceiling, which are circular. I think the station looks great personally, equally as good as the concept art. The only slight shame is there's no separate offload area, which I would have preferred.

I don't understand how this would work; surely that would mean the neck couldn't move because the back of the head would always be fixed in one spot?

This might be quite cool, like the firebomb effect in Spidey where it moves from the screen to the set, only with fake fire.

Disney doesn't seem to have a problem with building quality attractions in a timely manner in countries outside the U.S. I would like to have seen Mystic Manor at lets say.....Animal Kingdom. Oh well.......back to Potter.
