Was there yesterday. I never saw the wait above 45. Went in stand-by once, exactly 45 minutes. No water effects, very VERY little smoke in the scene with the kuka screen. Second time we went in single riders and walked right on (with stand-by of 45). Still no effects, and the kuka screen was perhaps even more noticeable. Cool for someone like me who enjoys seeing how things work, but maybe a bummer for those who are just average guests.

Tut tut. The smoke screen (ha) is as crucial as the Yeti.

Rode 4x during trip at end of august. Wait times averaged probably 1 hour. Waited once in single-rider for 45 minutes - that was a claustrophobic nightmare :) My wife and I thought the ride was great, but it definitely took a few rides to get to that point. Hard to live up to all those "game changing" expectations especially on the first ride through. I thought there'd be more physical stuff (yes, yes, the rocks, I know :)) but once I got over the expectations, I thought it was a fantastic ride. Heat and smoke effects were all working well, fortunately. That kuka arm on the dome at the end was a marvel to see!

I rode in three different rows. Back row - OK, but I didn't feel like the car got far enough into the screens. I also sat in row 5 (cool), but my favorite was row 1. I felt like I was intimately involved in every single scene of the ride. Loved it. The dome sequence especially was great in the front row. It was great to see all of the different technical things on the ride. It's a beast!

Anyone looking for info on the restraints - they're tight for bigger folks, no doubt. Very similar to Mummy. I'm 6'3, 305lbs and was able to get into a seat in each row. No problem in back 2 rows; a little push needed in row 1. The test seats out front are tighter than the ride vehicles (same way with FJ). Avoid front row if you're worried - otherwise if you can get anywhere near a green light out front, you'll be fine in back 2 rows.

Look forward to our next trip down, hopefully during HHN.

Wait time was around 15-20 minutes ALL DAY today. No joke. Still no water effects anywhere for me a no heat in the first dragon scene.

What do you mean by row 5? I know that their is 2 cars that travel together but each has 3 rows. So you mean, second car, second row?

the loading platforms are numbered 1-6. So row 5 is Middle row of the second car. i rode yesterday, and felt a hint of heat a bit early early in the dragon scene, but nothing really intense.

Yep. They're numbered 1-6 on the platform, so 5 would be second row, second car.

Was in the front row yesterday and the smoke was not working when the screen got pulled away ... have to say, it is amazing to just see it work really, how it gets pulled back and then moves to the side, my daughter loved it as well.

Still a pity there still are no water effects. Does anyone know why this is taking so long? Is it perhaps a new valve or something similar that needs to be made?

Has anyone got a photo of the 3D Glasses? Are they themed or just normal ones?

I had the chance to ride this attraction 12 times yesterday, and to be honest while it's a fun ride I wasn't overly blown away. The whole thing seems really rushed, just like Transformers. From the very get-go you're in the heat of battle and there's absolutely zero build up to those big moments. Everything just happens so fast. I will give credit where credit is due though, the queue is gorgeous and the elevators were a huge surprise for me! I loved-loved-loved the attention to detail on this attraction, and if we weren't moving so damn fast through the course of the ride I'm sure some of those sets would be fun to gawk at.

While systematically the attraction is a marvel, if I had to critique it I would of placed the tilt drop further in the ride and used the first 45 seconds to slowly creep into the vault - as if we were trying to be sneaky and not get caught. I really think something as simple as that could of made a world of difference in what *should* be the best ride at the resort.

Oh! I also wish Comcast weren't so cheap and would of used LSMs on the ride. I rode Gringotts and then went and rode Mummy... Mummy felt much smoother. Enchanted magic shouldn't go hand-in-hand with squealing drive tires.

Final review:
If I had to rate the attraction vs the rest of the rides at Universal here's how it'd fall on my list...
1) Spiderman
2) Transformers
3) Escape from Gringotts
4) Forbidden Journey
5) Mummy

^ This is spot on to my list...I just wish Gringotts was kicked up a notch...should of had the rumored drop track and a longer finale coaster part...but..for non coaster fans this is perfect.

Itching to watch this as I have other POV. So far I have avoided most spoilers and have quick scrolled through the pages of this thread many a time. Although the temptation is hard I will scratch that itch for another week until i get to ride it in person. Then I will be catching up with this thread proper LOL

I too wish it would have been more intense, should have had a launch going into a corkscrew inversion, still I like it, but I consider it a dark ride and not a coaster.
I actually wonder if the reason why they didn't use LSM's is just because it would have complicated an already complex ride further.

I adore this ride after first experience of it last week (several times!). The music at the start is great and the integration of everything is incredible. I flinch expecting to get wet though, then don't!
Really incredible ride. Experience.

I'm really excited to see the current wait times, and I was wondering. Do they typically increase again once HHN starts? I'm coming to the parks next Thursday and Friday (9/25-9/26) but I've never been during HHN before.

My only complaint is the lack of "roller coaster like" feel of the ride, because I feel it should have been more like one. Second, it's a tad short feeling. Otherwise it is great.
