What exactly are we looking at here? A mixture of the correct projected image, and some kind of a default projector image mixed with it?

I'm thinking that the screen takes 8 projectors, 4 per eye, and the set for one eye is showing something wacky. I don't know this, just a guess.

Thanks. Yeah, that is what that is and yet I didn't figure it out. At first glance, it looks like we are looking through a scrim. Interesting that the projectors operate that independently from each other.

If it is anything like mine was, it would just be 4 projectors each displaying a 3d image which is why there is no overlap.

Was thrilled to see Aguamenti working both of my two rides on my birthday weekend of the 23rd. Timed perfectly. Heat timed perfectly as well. The fog, as usual, came a tad bit after the trap door opened. Not going to complain too much. Things were actually ON.

^ It is starting to sound to me as if the end scene fog should be on at 1/4 full time. Mask the door and then blow hard.

Sorry I havent kept up with this thread. Finally went two days ago, but in the vault scene did anyone have a strange echo with Bellatrix and Voldemorts lines. I went on 4 times and it was 50/50 for me. At first I thought it was because it was supposed to be cavernous, but my second ride the audio was perfectly synced.

That sounds like the stereo tracks are falling out of sync. That would create a false echo.

WHO DESIGNED THIS THING? There shouldn't be so many independent dominoes... that is to say, it was over-conceived.

They fixed the people-funnel at the elevator exit. The right side now goes through a small switchback which dumps them back at the door of the left side (along the glasses wall) instead of in the middle of the room, which makes sense because the left side elevator is usually loaded first. There is also a new path on the floor of the stairwell between glasses pickup and the staircase itself (you used to go directly to the stairs, but now you walk through that previously empty unused circle of space at the bottom).

Had auguamenti water yesterday but no heat from the dragon in the same scene. Everything else seemed fine.

Sounds like they're preparing for the holiday crowds by having more guests past the elevators. Interesting to see how much they load the elevators now/dispatch cycles.

Such a simple fix for the elevator jumble. Saw the extra switchbacks today. Only 20 minute wait also.

Finally rode this this but did single rider and ended up in the back row. only 5 minute wait for that. i spent my first ride on this thing looking around at the ride mechanics with out my glasses on. The dude next me me kept telling me i was supposed to wear the glasses. he thought it didn't understand how to work them. man was i impressed more of how many things could truly malfunction. i still enjoyed it. water effects were working and the fog was very late. I'll probably go back this week and actually try to LOOK at the screens this time and enjoy it as a normal lol

Single rider was actually open and was a complete walk-on later in the afternoon. Single rider was always closed when I went this past summer. It is basically just one long hallway that takes you directly to the spiral staircases.

I rode in the second car, last row, finally, after requesting it. It is more exciting for the drop, but not sure I like it as much as the first car, which has better views.

EDIT: The fog is still VERY late. There is enough of it now, it just needs to come up earlier to hide the hole in the screen. Why can't they fix this?

Was the same for me last week. Water effect still feels off though, it was like one big drop hitting me, I think the water should spread more into finer droplets.

The water effect has been working the last three visits and it definitely improves the effect, but there is always an extra splash about 10 seconds after the aguamente splash. I'd rather have too much water than no water though.

Can somebody please get a couple photos of the new switchbacks after the elevator scene? Thanks!

Personally I love the first row of the second car, it epitomizes the experience for me. It gives you the perfect amount of thrill factor but my view of the screens has never been obstructed... I think next time I go I'll have to take a ride without glasses, at least once. I really wanna check out the physical sets, I've always been so focused on the ride experience...

Just had a disappointing ride. For whatever reason, our speakers weren't outputtng low-frequency sound effects (cart sfx at load, the trolls grabbing the cart, the dragon's roar, etc). Was in RV5, row 4. Has anyone else experienced this? Sound is a huge part of what makes Gringotts great imo so it was lame to not really have impact on anything.

Side note, no water and less-than-ideal fog too :l

Edit- just rode again and the audio was fine. Not sure what RV.

Gringotts is having issues today. Ride at 8.15 and got stuck for 5 mins right after the last screen. Then reached for single rider and sat down then they unloaded us and it has been down the last 30 mins. One of the cars won't unlock and they had 4 pole stand on the sides and jump to jiggle the care to get it to unlock. They said that usually works and they then covered up that entire car so no one will use that car. They have just been running them empty and the PA comes on Avery 5 mins saying it's down. They really need to work out thethese issues.

Just got off. Something strange happened. No heat no water but when we launched right after we passed the screen the car immediately turned 90 degrees right and stayed that way through the rest of the ride. So we were facing the wrong way for the last screen. Weird.
