I say that Universal should shut the thing down completely for a long time and run extensive tests every way they can to permanently fix all problems guests are complaining about and any others they can find themselves. Then act like the thing is brand new, do soft openings, and do the whole thing the right way. If they do this there should not be problems with roughness, music, reliability, or anything else for a long time. And if that's what they're doing now, and they're doing it right and they care, kudos, Uni. If not, then I can put Rockit permanently in the FAIL pile.

I've been hearing about it every half hour. This ride has gotten more bad press than all of Universal ever.

weird how universal is denying it's closed due to that advisory and that they addressed that weeks ago, but the manufacturer says they might not have a fix for several months

Good Lord....Why is Universal now failing with roller coasters now? The one in Singapore now this one!

I agree, lets put the wrecking ball on it.

They've gotten this far with the ride so they might as well just keep going down the road until HRRR finally improves and is no longer in the ride of shame.

This ride isn't going anywhere, and it's honestly a very awesome ride. I love Rockit regardless of its extrusions with scenery, and so do many others. Universal is addressing our complaints about this ride and performing maintenance on it to have it top-notch like it should be. The audio systems and shaky cars are the source of this refurb. Not anything else.

Honestly, I didn't find the shaky cars all that rough, but still, it's good to fix things.

While I do like Rockit a lot, I actually prefer Manta. It's not because of Rockit's problems, I just found Manta more thrilling.

Again, if they demolish it because of problems, they might as well replace the Mummy animatronic with a Disco Mummy (like what's happening with the Yeti in Expedition Everest). :bang:

I'm going to agree with you 100%. Why turn back after all the money they spent? It will just be a waste of all that money.

Ditto. They need to get their act together, figure this out and fix it for good. We waited too long for this coaster and it's a good concept! They just need to fix its flaws.

Do we know what this "huge safety hazard" is yet? I hope they don't demolish it, its a fun ride and cool layout, but definitely too rough and shaky especially for a new steel coaster.

They will not demolish it that's a guarantee I would imagine this has to do with a precaution.

I would have like to see an Intamin instead of Rockit. Maurer Sohne should just stick to wild mouse type coasters cause their other ones all seem sketchy....like Rockit
