I still haven't been on this because every time I've been there it's been down. That's pretty ridiculous.

I think with all these issues, plus the past history I've seen from it, I'm skipping it for now on. I don't trust it, sadly. The ride doesn't look too great anyway except for the loop-nonloop... thing.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. The ride itself is actually very good and thrilling. It has the most airtime on any coaster in Florida... until maybe Cheetaka comes along. And that's pretty unlucky to have it be down evry time you've gone. I've only seen it down a couple of times over the summer but I just haven't ridden because the line was too long.

Universal did not know what they were getting into with this foreign company that hasn't worked with many American companies, and they did not account for all of the potential problems it could have. This delayed opening and did not give ample time to work out flaws before crowds started steamrolling it and it was downhill from there. A good long rest is what this guy needs.

The non-inverting loop is by far the best element of the ride.

My favorite part is actually the crowd surfer.

The ride itself is great just getting into it is the problem. I have maybe had one or two times waiting in line where the ride to not go down for some period of time. And yes, crowd surfer ftw.

From my understanding, this idea was the reason the queue is designed to be where it is. Walking from City Walk up the path to Blue Man Group, they could open that gate to Rockit for easy access and dump the exit right back out.

It was designed like that, but there were some big flaws in their plans and many issues after opening so that never ended up happenning and the ride's been open for a year! If they decide to go ahead with it, first they need to have the ride working properly for a while during the daytime before they even consider openning it during the night time for City Walk. I don't see this happening for a while and they might scrap the idea altogether because of safety and technical issues.

Oh, BTW, My favorite are the drops :P I know, how unoriginal :P But that always gets my adrenaline pumpin'. Especially the one going into the building.

From what I understood they were going to charge 10 bucks a ride per person! That is crazy. But.. What would work is combining it with a combo like how citywalk does the movie and dinner deal. They would add this to the deal for a cheaper price which I think would work pretty well!

I guess that doesn't matter much now though! Hopefully this is nothing big but I'm pretty sure the first hurricane that came through this thing was going to be in pieces all over the park..

If there is a hurricane, Maurer and Universal better use something stronger than super glue to hold that thing together.

On a serious note, Uni should not even be worrying about the CityWalk deal right now. Once this thing is up again and is smooth and safe to ride, they should worry about adding the express line then talk about a CityWalk deal. I do like the CityWalk idea, but there are more important issues to deal with now. This coaster is great. It is a shame on what has been happening to it.

Seems to me like they have always had the after hours citywalk idea in thier heads. The area by blue man has a gate. If they wanted it separate, they would have built a wall. Also, the lighting on the trains themselves. They are barely visible in the day and Universal is seldomly open past dark. (Summer is the only time and thats a short period) I know people would pay to ride it at night. At least, I know I would...

More bad news for Rockit from Screamscape:

Universal has confirmed that the Hollywood Rockit will be closed a bit longer than expected (though they never gave a date for it to reopen) because they will now go ahead and perform the ride’s annual maintenance work while it’s already closed.

So freakin' weird and hilarious! I made fun of the exact same sign and changing the exact same letter on my sat trip.

That is a great picture, hilarious! And as far as luck goes I have been on this ride probably somewhere between 40-50 times and have always had music, never got stuck, and almost always have had a smooth ride.

:jaw: 40 to 50!?! I've been on it only around 8-10 times, with 2 or 3 bad rides due to rough cars or speaker troubles.
