As long as we never get one of those stupid Skywarp rides, I'm fine.

SeaWorld is currently not in a position to take high risks. Coasters are a sure-thing, low-cost move. They have to play it safe and smart until they are out of the hole. Sesame Street is their big winner, and when they go dark ride - it'll be here.

*Looks at the short-lived and defunct Submarine Quest in SWSD*

Yeah, dark rides are not SW's forte. An considering how botched JtA has been (Still waiting to see how that refurb was supposed to tie in with Kraken's VR version), we can't even use that as a example of a good one.

^To be fair Submarine Quest isn't really a dark ride. It was mostly outside.

Busch and Sea World do coasters/animals really well, which is needed in Central Florida

They honestly need to stick to the well themed realms, animal experiences, and coasters/rides

These day if you don't have a massive Universal or Disney budget a dark ride comes off as cheap

Dark rides are expensive. Flat rides and coasters are cheap. It's the most financial/reasonable decision to make coasters more than dark rides., especially in Orlando. No point in making a dark ride when you have to compete with the mouse and Universal.

I would love if they can do dark rides. But I would prefer 3 Makos.

They were talking about dark rides? Dark rides and outdoor transit rides are two very different things.

Not saying that SQ isn't garbage but it's nothing like a dark ride.

SQ reminds me more of High in the Sky Trolley than anything.

A lot easier and cheaper to build a nicely themed flat ride than a well done dark ride. I'm kind of surprised they haven't just cloned the air boat ride they put in San Diego yet.

And maybe a jellyfish themed wave swinger...

I could see something like Sesame Street: Street Mission which just opened at PortAventura in spain working.
Its an interactive (cookie throwing) dark ride, screens and sets, ok themed.

They "cloned" it for SW San Antonio...it recently opened along with a Zamperla Midi Discovery. These are what I was referencing should come to SWO eventually.

The number of trains the coaster could have I understand will be 3 unless something changes.

I could see that. I see 4 blocks.

Train, the switch, main coaster track and final brakes.

All the thrills of Tigris while still having the capacity of a normal coaster.
