Flat rides > abandoned Trike Encounter area with nothing going on

And besides, there's a lot of interesting kind of flat ride concepts you can form out of the general dinosaur theme.

Hmm... Theme wise I wonder how they would even go about that.

How about the potential third attraction? Something small scale? I'm still bummed the dark ride got scrapped. =/

If trikes eventually became a dark ride when the budget is available I'd wait. If them putting in a flat ride means one will never come then I'd rather wait. But if they put in a flat ride and then replace it with a dark ride down the line then I guess we'd all be happy

I don't see them doing that if there is a third attraction. 3 spinners in 2 parks isn't their style IMO.

I don't believe that it will be a spinner like Dino-Soarin'. I was just using it as an example of how they could "Jurassic Park-ize" an off the shelf type "kiddie" ride. But I believe we will be getting something along those lines as a 2nd attraction. But not necessarily a Dumbo style spinner. Although I should point out that MK has 3 (Dumbo, Carpets, and Astro Orbiter).

Dumbo counts twice lol, that's 4 in one park and Spinners account for 50% of the new rides at MK over the last what 15 years lol.

Oh my gosh...just thinking about how true that actually is makes me sad.

How exactly did we get here...to a world where the Magic Kingdom hasn't built an E ticket attraction in over two decades, yet we've gotten two new spinners in less span of time?

Luckily down the street good 'ol Universal is reimagining both their theme parks and showing everybody how its done!

They should just scrape the 3rd new attraction idea and make another bigger new attraction. I'd rather have 2 new major rides than 2 or even 3 new flat rides. Is there a possibility things could change and they could lean towards another major attraction with Amber Mine? I don't think it's a HUGE letdown or anything. But I feel like Jurassic Park definitely deserves the most major rides in it's island. I would actually be ecstatic to get the Amber Mine, a dark ride and maybe a River Adventure refurb.

Well I think this would be a great lineup:
1. Amber Mine family coaster E-ticket
2. Submarine Expedition dark ride by Discovery Center (Mr. DNA shows us the various aquatic dinos)
3. massive River Adventure refurb

These two things can be added in later in the decade (2018-2020):
1. Flat ride in Camp Jurassic/mini upgrades
2. Pteranodon Flyers gets fixed so that everyone can ride it
3. Discovery Center revamp (new exhibits/raptor M&G/mini-show/etc)

I could see a mini-swings style attraction or maybe a frog hopper of sorts, even a ferris wheel, but no more spinners  1 type of flat ride per park is fine!

I could actually see getting an elaborately themed Dino Carousel. I know the park already has one, but I could still see it happening.

If it was triple decker and had interactive elements like Twirl n Hurl along with being located within Camp Jurassic (save the Trikes plot for a family dark ride or an AE style show), I'd be fine with another carousel - just make it different from Caro-Seuss-El

What I think the expansion will end up being, and what I posted on Parkscope, is:

1) Amber Mine Coaster on Thunder Falls plot. The area here is similar to the area of Big Thunder Mountain in the MK, so I expect a somewhat similar ride experience. This will be a critical step forward for IoA adding some "everyone" rides.

2) "Springfield" in the Triceratops Encounter plot. Now, obviously I don't mean Springfield exactly, but I see this area becoming something similar. Food trucks, placemaking and theming, and 2 flat rides to increase the attraction count. IMO the flat rides will be something we haven't seen in either park rather than repeats.

3) General Island placemaking. JP has some problems, especially by the River Adventure. They need to get rid of the timeshare guys and the hair braiding and fix the feel of Jurassic Park.

It would be interesting to think about what other flat rides they could bring to the park. Music Express-type ride, maybe? I suppose a Ferris Wheel could work as well if they were to theme it correctly.

I doubt that will happen, especially considering theyre muddling the area even more with the new games.

A Music Express-type ride pretty much defeats the purpose of these flat rides though. A little too intense, IMO.

But Universal isn't making these improvements to make money, Tyler. They're in it to make people happy :pixiedust:

I still love the idea of a raptor breakout for the expansion. That's just me.

They could possibly tone it down, though. I was thinking something along the lines of the Scuttle's Scooters ride they have at TDS.
