I think the splash down is much like a few IOA attractions, in that you don't have to ride to feel the thrill of it all. And it ain't the fins that cause you to get wet... it is the four to six 300 lb. persons sitting in the first two rows, should you be so unfortunate.

They should do this to the Orlando version...and make it permanent

This. I usually ride it once or twice (if at all) and never been on Dudley or Popeye because I don't feel like getting soaked, especially in January. The times I have rode it I did get very wet hence only doing it once or twice in a row and being done with it despite me really liking the ride otherwise. If they somehow toned it down I'd ride it a lot more often when I'm there.

Universal Pictures will release Jurassic World in 3D on June 12, 2015. Steven Spielberg is producing the big-budget dino-sequel, formerly known as Jurassic Park 4. Colin Trevorrow directs from a draft of the screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing.

You can't see the T-Rex without risk of getting wet :'( and that goes for most of the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park.

That would be a great addition for JPRA. When we usually go, we bring bathing suits and spend half the day riding JPRA, Popeye and RSF. However for our HHN trip (no kids), we dont ride those for that very reason. There is no way to not getting soaked riding those rides. We sometimes brave JPRA with a poncho, which doesnt really help all that much.

Seems a little risky to be releasing it in summer 2015, with the Avengers 2, Superman vs. Batman, Star Wars Episode VII and whatnot coming out then.

I hardly ever get wet on JPRA...unless I'm in the first two rows.

Dudley and Popeye soak me every time though.
Of course, I don't like staying wet so I bring a change of clothes, but I love water rides!

The film's being directed by the guy that did Safety Not Guaranteed, which I loved, and is being written by the people that wrote Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which I also loved.

So I'd say the film has a pretty fair chance.

But even if the movie gets crap reviews, I'll see it anyway just because it's Jurassic Park.

Not sure many people know this but there was a book released titled Jurassic World. I used to carry it with me when I traveled. It was both books in one, first half was Jurassic park, second was Lost World.

They could've at least called it Jurassic Planet, as that sounds slightly less cheesier (again, slightly).

Ok, I am going to confess that, although I have been to IOA hundreds of times, I have never ridden Dudley or Popeye. Walking around soaked is just not my thing.
