I just don't get how Kong got priority over JP.. Universal has said JP is their largest franchise, and they are planning to reboot it back to relevance with Jurassic World. How does it make sense to scale back..? =(

Also, is it a coincidence Junior Warrior/Jurassic World share initials?

So, is Junior Warrior the code name or something? Hopefully it changes again and for the better.. the JP expansion has been bizarrely fluid.

No, I want to know what he knows. Because what I have heard is.....disappointing. I want him to tell me my source is wrong.
What I have heard will still be world class theme park acceptable, but it is not as ambitious as the current rumors. So no one panic!

I'm not in the know, but it sounds like Kong absorbed a good bit of JPs budget, and more than that, its space.

For those of you confused, up in arms, etc...A rumor is a rumor and apparently there's so many going on that we are biting on anything that comes our way. If your new...Creative knows how to get us off on tangents...they've done it many times...So I certainly agree with Teebin when he says that something has been mucked up. Reading some of these posts trying to figure out "hidden clues" in a post is giving me a headache...

Anyone want to freeze him/herself until the atheistic world of 2546, fight some otters, than call us back in the past and tell us what's going on?

Created for who? Someones backyard...?

Nope, this wont due, this is doing it cheap and not in the new standard of Universal Studios. This is a waste of space, time, money and takes away from the theme which is JP.

Let me attempt to bring calm to this before someone blows a gasket

1. Nothing is truly known by anyone at the moment outside of a timeline for this rush project. It has been rushed and scaled back because the suits worry the crowds will be cannibalized at IOA due to Diagon as well as the numerous offerings at the Studios like Transformers next Summer.

2. Whatever happens in terms of a JP Expansion it will be family focused and involve a D ticket, possibly a flat, and new food / merch options

3. The reason money has been pulled from the Project that Disneyhead and I were tipped off about early this year is because of Kong. The RFP's for Kong have come back very high and the suits are willing to cut elsewhere in order to make Kong happen. They see Kong as a driver for IOA due too the impact it had at Hollywood.

This is the speculation at the moment, hopefully it calms a few peoples nerves.

It literally says where it is in the title.

EDIT: And from the About.com Theme Parks review of it...

It may be relatively small and offer a comparatively short ride, but Wooden Warrior is surprisingly potent and, pound for pound, is one of the best wooden coasters out there. It's also remarkably smooth, thanks to its prototype Timberliner train.

So, would you say this means a higher budget for Kong, faster release date (Since we thought Jp would be 2015, that means Kong would be 2015?) and the possibility of an AA?

I think it looks fun . I mean, it's no Hulk but it fits what we've essentially been told to expect. I wouldn't expect this to be it, though. I'd think it would have some dark ride elements to it as well, and be more comparable to the Mummy than to Dragon Challenge or Rip Ride Rockit. If you think of it that way, it would be a pretty satisfying ride--this ride is longer than the coaster portion of the Mummy.

Of course, I was expecting indoor elements, was not expecting a DD or RRR type of ride. I was expecting more Thunder mountain in regards to indoor elements. Of course space is of the essence and as well is time now with the info HTF shared, but Idk... I feel that they shouldnt worry too much.

I say this because lets say I get there at 9 am when the open Diagon, I aam not (and i dont understand why ANYONE would) spent all 12 hours of my day there. sure ill spend 3-4 hours at diagon, then head to the hogwarts express, get to hogsmeade and see whatever they do new with interactive wands and the entrance, but then I will think to myself "Oh, JP, which is the most awesome ride ever, is a 2 min walk from here, and Hulk and SM are 5 minutes away, let me take 1 hour from my day to ride these 3 rides since everyone is checking our dragon"

I dont want them to rush it is all. Let creative do their thang

The progression of Kong had been from a massive refurb of Diaster, to putting the refurb money towards a Kong in Disaster, to a mini Skull Island. And now, it also sounds like that Disaster refurb is happening because it kind of has to if they wanna keep it running. So money in general has to come from somewhere, and not only is DA is the golden child but its also too far along to significantly pillage. That's why future or even concurrent projects take a hit such as JP or probably what seems to be falling through in Suess.

I understand, but why not just wait 6 months for DA to make back some of the money instead of rushing the project. I'd rather have something done correctly the first time rather than more offerings

You're confusing "done correctly" with "what I want in my head". This can be a perfectly acceptable and fun ride. They can wait 18 months, and that doesn't mean they'll make it an E-Ticket. Not every new project will be and I don't think people realize that. The park needs to be filled out with more D's and C's then it needs more blockbuster attractions. You'll still get the big attraction in Kong if that's what the research is telling Uni, it's just that now the filling in will be in a different place. You're getting the same amount of money just not in the place it was originally rumored.

JP deserves better than to be cannibalized by the worry of crowds elsewhere and other projects sapping its budget. To add insult to injury, Kong is cutting into potential JP space. Disappointing. Hopefully Universal finds a way to work things out without Jurassic Park getting the short end of the stick. JP is the last place small, minimally themed rides should be.

Wooden Warrior is considered a top 20 wooden coaster.

Yea, let's all complain about getting something like that mixed with theming. What an awful idea.
