Though Screamscape may not get everything right, I've been to the site before and the updates and articles are well-done IMO. Plus it has updates from everyyyy park around the world. Don't hate. They do a good job over there and let's not pretend that any website is perfect as far as finding accurate information goes.

Agreed, while it may not provide the best updates on rumors and happenings at the Orlando parks, it does a really good job on my local theme parks and even other theme parks that I am less familiar with. I like Screamscape.

Sometimes he is fed bogus information on purpose, and sometimes his info is correct but the timeline, placement, and so on may be off. It's just like anything else with these projects, things change. Btw wasn't there a :kingkong: skull island rumor just next to JP about 6-7 years ago

Im down to have King Kong back but not in that location..obviously. I would replace Disaster with it for sure. I even said that a month ago to REPLACE DISASTER WITH KONG! anybody remember? lol or they could replace the rest of Lost Continent with Skull Island?..idk if that would be to crowded in or what though?..and just a sidenote i believe i said this before also. How cool would it be to mix some of the original Kongfrontation with 360 Kong?!!

There was internet chatter in 2005 when the movie came out, and then again in 2009, I believe, when they annouced what kind of Kong replacement was coming.

After reading the article on Screamscape i do like the idea of having a longer and more elaborate Kong 360 ride in Universal Orlando. Riding through the jungle and seeing other AA's or themeing and then going into the building for the finale 360 3D part would be pretty satisfying. I don't know how it would make sense to make a King Kong ride in Jurassic Park though. I know there are Dinos in the ride and they could put more because it would be a longer ride. Ultimately they would either have to make a Skull Island in that area behind Thunder Falls or put the ride somewhere else in the two parks. I know it's just a rumor from Screamscape and means nothing right now but im just thinking out loud here.

It is possible that they're bringing Kong 3D's technology to the new ride in JP... :look: But instead of meeting Kong, we just meet T-Rex, etc. Would be pretty cool! Why not?

It would be easy because they could say that the 3D glasses are night vision goggles just like the ones that Timmy uses in the first Jurassic Park film in that scene. It would be quite easy to do. Just blend some AA Dinos with foliage and stuff like a dark ride at first and then stop at the T-Rex paddock and that area would have the screens. It could simulate going over the wall and falling into the tree.

meh. They need to ease off attractions with screens for awhile. We need some real environments to look at in JP.

Yea. The less 3-D glasses we get after Despicable Me, Transformers, and Gringotts the better

I think I'd prefer something that just "wows" with its realism. I think one "everything goes horribly wrong" attraction is enough.

Agreed! This is why I was really looking forward to the Discovery Center dark-ride.

Considering Gringotts is a mix of a coaster and motion based ride, I'm not sure if Universal would do that. It would be pretty cool if the Amber Mine turned out to be that though.

I have a really hard time believing the Skull Island/Kong rumor. Its just not an appropriate place and there is definitely not enough room for that! He also threw out the concept of re-themeing Toon Lagoon...whaaaat?! That just doesn't make any sense!!

I know it's not exactly on topic, but I saw the kong talk and it reminded me of when the magic went to the NBC finals and they put a magic jersey on the giant animatronic. I was surprised to find no picture of it in a google image search. Anybody have a picture?

I've got it... Jurassic Park Mini Golf Course! Think of all the animitronic dinosaurs you can putt a ball through and have a T-Rex chase your golf ball! And they can charge for it in-park and make additional money.

(Yes, I know this a terrible idea since they already have 2 miin-golf courses on Citywalk.)
