I was happy to see that the Tiger's Claw is still there. Surprised they can care for it properly. None of you will get what I mean by that.

While they may not have heard of some obscure place like Disneyland, I am almost positive they have heard of Yellowstone or Broadway.

No, I am talking about people that I have personally tried to talk into visiting Disneyland for it's vastly superior "Disney Experience" compared to WDW or even the Disney Cruise Line and they ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to consider it. They won't leave property to visit other quality theme parks not 10 miles from WDW. They simply refuse. Even though they have already been to WDW 437 times.

I do think that it is a borderline mental illness. And I am not joking about that.

Agreed, especially when as a resort, WDW is coming in third place globally for quality Disney park experiences, counting TDL and DL (Anaheim) above WDW....Paris could also get better before WDW does, but some people prefer to have their heads in the sand.

Ain't that the truth!

I had been a longtime Florida theme park junkie, but once I got my first Disneyland visit in 2007, I've never been the same. I just can't enjoy WDW like I used to. DL is a vastly superior product right now....which has got me to spend my money there yearly ever since!

We now alternate between WDW and DL and I am trying o convince friends here to do the same.

DL is the jewel in the crown of Disney parks IMO. Although most people here in the UK won't go!

That is it... a large one on right of the left entrance once you turn the corner facing Thunder. It is a large tree now.

This site normally reserves BTT for 15-20 posts gone off the rails. A statement, a question and an answer doesn't quite meet that requirement.

If a staff member and an insider decide to take a little side trip I think it's alright. I've done it before.

Also, you might want to get your post count up a little higher before you start playing mod.

I am the worst "regular" poster for going off the rails. I am the bane of mods all across the World Wide Webs. :sneaky:

So I wonder if the JP River closure has been delayed? No mention of the closure on the site and I stated today would be last day of operation with a closure starting tomorrow. I'm curious...

I asked my sisters (they were there on Friday) and they said it was up and running...a few of their friends rode it.

Everything I have heard backs you up, so maybe they forgot to put it on the site?

Okay, we all know some people are idiots. Let them have their fun being idiots, and don't let that get you down having your own fun doing a better variety.

How about them dinosaurs? :focus:

There has been some talk again about the dark ride. Where would it fit? Now in the first movie there was a dark ride... But the funny thing about it is they took an exciting and interesting subject (dinosaurs), and made an incredibly lame and boring ride out of it. Obviously it would need to be better, any thoughts?

Would love them to rip off what used to be “Alien Encounter” at MK but with enchanced tech. The ride starts just like in the first film introducing the DNA splicing video then maybe on a “Carousel of Progress” type ride base it rotas to a second scene of a lab with raptor eggs about to hatch again as in the movie all the time with the John Hammond voice over describing the scene. Then there is a bang a big flash of light and were plunged into to darkness and we go into an Alien Encounter type ride with 4d sound of raptors in the building all round us looking for there eggs (which would also tie in to the third film).

They could utilise a lot of the interactive seats that are common in 3d movie rides with hot breath on the back of your neck as the raptors get close, water effects and fowl raptor smells. Whilst this is happening the ride has rotated so we don’t realise to the 3rd and final scene ready for lights up where we see the lab now total devastated and the baby raptor eggs gone and the voice over kicks back in as if nothing has happened “we spared no expense”

All this could be done in a relatively small space and easy to hide and with 3 scenes plus the load station been the 4th quarter of the circle I am guessing that it would have quite a high turnover of guests per hours and would be a relatively easy build and replicate if they need a second stage.

I sure hope the new ride in JP isn't a kiddie ride because that would be pretty lame. But I guess that's because I don't have kids lol

Why do family rides always get translated into kiddie rides. Kiddie rides are Dumbo, Barnstormer roller coaster, etc. Kiddie rides are NOT family rides like Thunder Mountain, HM, Pirates, etc. I want family rides in Uni, not Kiddie rides. I do however want some family rides that do not have height requirements.

^ While I agree with most of what you say... Do people really take babies on Pirates and Small World? Those don't have any height requirements?
