Its just breaking. I can personally confirm they were JP4 crew. I can also say that I emailed Jack Horner, the Paleontological consultant, and he confirmed the news.

I guess now Oceaneering is getting a call for an LPS driven ride system?

Rumor has it that the rumored Lorax dark ride utilizes an LPS guided trackless system.

With JP4 in limbo and the Lorax sequel moving forward I was hypothesizing.

Lorax sequel? This is something I haven't heard of. Also, a basic google search has also not heard of anything about it since over a year ago...

Hell, give us both!
I'd have no problem only getting the Amber Mine in Jurassic Park if that meant we also get the Lorax ride!

I don't want to believe it, but unfortunately it's possible. I mean they haven't been able to come up with a good concept for the 4th one in over 10 years now and wouldn't be surprised if it's canned again

Still hoping they push through with expansion, JP is one of their premier rides and the whole area could use a new ride or two.

Wasn't there a thought at one point that the Jurassic park expansion would be fast tracked for 2014 so that it would open with Jurassic Park IV? Well a delay might just put the film back into sync with a 2015 expansion.

Not sure what effect this may have on the park plans... but JP4 has been canceled/put on hold.

This is inaccurate. The current concept art team behind the movie was fired. That's all.

If you read this article, you will find that the movie is not being cancelled. Production has been temporarily halted, which is not uncommon.

Official statement about JP4 being pushed back: http://www.universalpictures.com/news/Universal_Announcemenet_JP4_1.pdf

"In coordination with filmmakers, Universal has decided to release Jurassic Park 4 at a later date giving the studio and filmmakers adequate time to bring audiences the best possible version of the fourth installment in Universal’s beloved franchise. We could not be more excited about the vision that Colin Trevorrow has created for this film, and we look forward to watching as he and the producers create another great chapter in this franchise’s storied history."

I'm hoping JP doesn't get nixed, not excited at all for a Lorax ride. (Granted, I'm not in the target audience but still...)

Agreed. I haven't done any of the rides in Seuss and don't really plan on it; plus they have enough rides already. Jurassic Park has JPRA and a ride if you have kids but that's it. It's a huge area and I don't even get on JPRA every time I go since I don't feel like getting soaked. Give me a good JP ride with great themeing! The area is big and needs something else.

The 4th movie is being delayed not cancelled. They basically don't want this movie to be a dud and they want it to really re launch the franchise. So they are taking their time with the movie and looking over everything possible so it turns out to be a true success. This is actually a good thing I feel like. I'd rather them take their time and make sure they have a great movie then force the movie down our throats and it turns out to suck!

Completely agree. While I respect your decision to pick and choose what attractions you choose to experience, I hope that next time you are in the park you will choose to give them a try. You're really selling yourself short if you're choosing not to ride them based on the fact that they are essentially aimed at young children. Cat in the Hat is a really great dark ride, and the Seuss Trolley, while short, gives some unique views of the park that you won't get otherwise. The other two rides are also great fun as far as carousels and spinners go. I just enjoy seeing how Universal took those two off-the-shelf concepts and made them into something unique and interactive.

Agreed. We used to skip this part of the park and then one year went, we ended up really liking some of the rides. It is a part of the park for more than just kids.
