I think the stuff under wraps is just the old HP return time machines.

Yeah, that is what I assumed too. They store all manner of junk back there temporarily.

These covered things were much bigger than those machines. Also, these popped up just a few days ago.

I noticed about 2/3 weeks ago they put A LOT more plants up in front of the Trike entrance, it looks like they are doing something and they are really trying to keep people out,

Dr. Hammond would have put these in his park to make more money for his research.

They're open now. They're not going anywhere. They add money to the park to bring us more attractions. Get over it!!!! It's not fun being a theme park purist snob anyway! lol. Jk!

Not to be a movie purist snob but I'm pretty sure John Hammond wasn't a doctor... He was the founder of In-gen but not a doctor.

The games suck. If these had been relocated to Hogsmead there would be uproar but the fact that people don't like them in JP makes us whiners. HP is no more important or entitled than JP IMO yet the tranquility and wonderful (although overlooked) theming of JP suffers as a result.

The game booths themselves are nice, but the prizes very are out of place. Maybe they're waiting for a shipment of dino prizes?

They'll just rebuild them.
(That tactic only works at Disney!) ;)

Honestly, these midway games even would've made more sense in Port of Entry than Jurassic Park, since according to IOA lore the PoE townsfolk were known to be rowdy and money-grubbing people.

No, because storyline wise they make sense in JP. The book was a theme park that Hammond would do anything to make money on. So he would have put these types of games in his park.

Where anywhere in the HP would would these games make sense? Nowhere. That is why there would be an uproar if it was placed in HP. There are certain places it makes sense, like if they have a whole silly land by DM, it would make sense to have games, since it would be a park and Simpson's totally makes sense because it is in Krusty Land that also have games.

Honestly, after finally seeing them, they really aren't that intrusive visually or thematically, and in fact the kid-focused game with the egg nursery thing where you scan an egg to determine what size prize you get is a perfect fit with the island (even though it would technically work better inside the Discovery Center on the lower level). No loud PA systems and obnoxious barkers that I noticed, just sitting there with smiling TMs who were ready to run a game.

Has anyone seen the video over at screamscape that shows a prototype mine coaster by dynamic attractions? They say its possible for Gringotts, but Idk. Here's the vid.....
Notice the Pteradon? Any chance this could be something to expect with the JP mine coaster?

I could definitely see that as either the Gringotts coaster or a JP mine coaster. Looks like an amazing concept!

Well then! That would be one mighty fine coaster. Especially the tilt section!

The only thing that won't be in Gringotts is the coaster intensity/length. But the unique elements focused on will be.

I would be a little okayer with the midway games if they could at least spread out that other stuff (timeshare booth, hair braider thingy, etc.) around the island. Seriously, why does all that junk have to be in one place and clutter everything up? I understand they make money, but they shouldn't be jammed together.

As for that rock wall climb, I say move it to somewhere inside Camp Jurassic and theme it up like they have it at Singapore:
