How would a giant roller coaster look out of place in a park with a giant roller coaster in clear view of the park entrance?
Hulk, for the most part, blends in. A hyper wouldn’t.

They do an annual rehab every winter. Sometimes they fix/re-skin the animatronics during the month or so long closure, but mostly they clean, repaint, and fix anything broken. Water is unforgiving and the rockwork especially needs to be pressure washed and repainted often. They drain the ride during this time as well.
New lighting packages, for safety reasons as you said, could certainly be part of this winter's rehab, but the closure is not anything out of the ordinary.
I swear I think we got new cars on top of the old chassis on HulkI mean, they literally rebuilt the whole thing 2 years ago and it's still rough as hell. Outside the first few seconds of the coaster, it is nowhere near good.
 gotcha.....A friend who is related to the postman of a supervisor of a bus driver who ate at a Dippin Dots tells me that the temporary raptor location is being tested during the late night/early morning sometime this week.
I wonder if they will try to wrap a coaster in a glass bubble?
Screens could be greater than bulky virtual reality glasses, and essentially serve the same purpose, without screwing up capacity. That solves to problem metal detectors. Put the parts over guest areas in a bubble.
And leave it Universal to want to add screens to a moving coaster.

Isn’t Mack the rumored boom coaster from early DK rumors?I found out today that the coaster is coming from Mack and they are also doing coaster work for the Nintendo projects.

Really? Everything I’ve heard is Intamin for JP, and Mack isn’t doing any of the Nintendo rides. Unless the JP plans have changed very recently, it’s Intamin.I found out today that the coaster is coming from Mack and they are also doing coaster work for the Nintendo projects.
