Seems to be a clone of colossal curl?
In 2019, Aquatica will become the most thrilling waterpark in Florida with the opening of new thrill slide: KareKare Curl. Holding two passengers per raft, this new slide delivers a high-adrenaline, weightless adventure. The addition of KareKare Curl will make Aquatica Orlando the thrill leader among Florida waterparks, with more high-thrill rides than any other.
Looks good to me.
Doesn't look like a clone of colossal curl
Colossal Curl is a hybrid, tornado/tornado wave, Kara Kare seems to be just Tornado Wave. Also, Kare Kare is more compact and is just two passenger rafts. In any case, I think this will be quite thrilling!
Nice addition to a great waterpark.
Any idea were this will be placed?
I think behind left wave pool, or near there.
Edit: is that my image from this morning?
A few more stills from today’s presentation:
Two passengers per raft but the photo shows four?
Ha! Looks like the key art is correct, but the B roll footage is not.
Yes, I forgot to tag, ya
Edit: Has any one posted the B-roll video?
It was only 5 seconds in a 30 second commercial at end of the presentation. Those screenshots above are pretty much it.
Thank’s trying To get footage for my video on it
Between Omako Rocka and the wave pool, I think the cabanas that are there will be moved elsewhere.
That makes sense, thanks. Was wondering if they were gonna lose those cabanas myself.
Yes I have a friend that had rented a cabana there for later this month. She had to change her reservation to another cabana location because that one will be closed.
If Aquatica wasn't already, I think it is one of the most underrated parks in Orlando by far. After this and the eventual water coaster, I think it will easily become the best waterpark in Orlando.
I found out the other day that generally the park reaches capacity for parking long before it reaches full guest capacity. I hope they have plans to expand parking and the park itself. The plot between the park and the hotels on I-Drive was slated for the hotel, but it seems like they should be able to use some of that space to expand parking and allow for park expansion.
Here is a construction update for Kare Kare Curl and a look at the slide pieces on site.
