No. That fell apart before Alien Encounter.

Just to clarify what your seeing back there.

The two white ovals are the sprung tents used for HHN. The service road next to MIB and the whole area in front of the tents is used as well.

The rectangular building back next to the ball factory is used for the parade floats and also HHN. The road that runs from there down to simpsons is used for HHN queue. Also the baseline road to it's right is also used.

The small buildings around the mounds are used to store the pyro.

The almost square building between the pyro and the parade building is the parade maintenance building. It's open air so they can do welding. They also store some floats from the seasonal parades there during HHN when a house is occupying their space.

At the top of the area on the left is the creative trailer for 722 and some parking, on the right is storage for 722.

So really without major interruption to HHN and pyro the back half is the only open portion.

Those can be appropriately relocated. I see something grand going back there but is it a part of THIS expansion? I could say no but with Uni lately, who knows. But Idk so much about the sci-fi themeing. I mean I would have to ponder on a possible idea but meh....it just doesn't ring any bells for me

Are you saying you would love to see a Star Trek version of the Space Fantasy ride? because that would be perfect and amazing. NOT 3D and NOT a simulator.

SciFi city is perfect. Personally I want more Battlestar Galactica over Star Trek. Especially with the new Bryan Singer movie coming out down the line. Its the perfect chance to reignite fans and make new ones.

What about the Battlestar Galactica coaster in Singapore?

Since we lost Jaws I'd like to see an outdoor attraction. I agree that a sci-fi theme would be appropriate being next to Men In Black, which is why I'd like to see a Jeep or ORV based ride. Kind of like Radiator Springs Racers. It could be themed to Area 51, or if that's too generic they could use a Universal property like Tremors. If not a desert-based attraction maybe they could set it in an inner city and theme it to Robocop. Race around the streets of Detroit with Murphy at the wheel.

I just like outdoor attractions, particularly at night (Jaws, Jurassic Park River Adventure, Dudley Do-Right,) and I think that element is now missing at the Studios.

I would love to see a Fast and the Furious ride somewhere in the park that's similar to Radiator Springs or Test Track.

Take a good look at the back of house areas and see where they can be relocated to. The pyro can't go off site, they don't want to be driving explosives out on Orlando streets every day. And the only place to move the sprung tents is into IOA (back between ripsaw and river adventure) or switch the houses to be sound stage houses (having almost all of the houses in sound stages) assuming they were all available.

Yes, it can be located offsite, they just haven't felt the need to use the land yet. There used to be twice as many bunkers there three years ago... and Uni has chopped that down. One day, Uni will use this land for expansion and transport the fireworks daily, driving the trucks on public highways next to natural gas tankers, gasoline tankers, and spent nuclear-fuel-rod transports.

The fact that they reduced the number of bunkers doesn't really have a whole lot to do with the idea of taking them off property entirely. extra bunkers weren't all being used 3 years ago either. As they product gets better and is declared the be more stable (and as the containers they are stored in are upgraded) they are able to store more in one place safely.

They need an open piece of land that can be secured at all times, and they don't want to be moving this stuff around Orlando on a daily basis.

I'd love a land for classic Universal movie monsters back there. A big dark ride to cool off in, new Monsters cafe, walkthrough Frankenstein lair, maybe a ride like Harry Potter / Spider-Man / Transdormers, signature dining in Dracula's castle

I would also love a year-round Halloween/Monster-themed attraction! I don't know if I would put it in this spot, but I'd just love that kind of attraction.

Could the pyro and tents not go where the old hard rock is located?

Someone said they're saving it for "something big"... What bigger than HP 2.0? Although I guess part of that going where it is is to link it with the other HP section.

I think fast and furious would be good ins RSR type ride.

That would be the ultimate in my book! Without the monsters, I highly doubt we would have Universal Studios as we know it today, if at all. It's Universal's signature property. I'm SOOOOO thankful we have the Classic Monsters Cafe, Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue, as well as the new Horror Make-up Show lobby mini-museum, though. Each of which heavily features the beloved Universal monsters.

"Universal Monsters Backlot Set" could feature a European village, a Creature From the Black Lagoon water-based ride, a Forbidden Journey-style ride themed to Castle Frankenstein, a Wolf Man inspired gypsy camp...the possibilities are endless!

Good thinking, turlte!

Honestly, I really love the fact that they have a choke-point here to add a cool entrance to a new land if there was one there. It's just wide enough for guests to flow through without crowding, and just small enough to create a grand entrance/exit. Personally, I think it will be a bit difficult to make a big entrance for HP 2.0 because of the area being so open at the front, and I'm sure they'll figure out a way, but it won't seem quite as natural as it would if it were placed in an area such as this one.

I also hope they use this plot for more than just one new 'land'. It's such a massive area I feel it would be a waste to use it all for one land... Especially because it could be separated into two 7-ish acre areas if they wanted to. Also, since I'm not such a huge Star Trek fan I'd hate to see them blow this whole area by making it all Star Trek. And I kinda hate the idea of Uni and Disney turning into a Star Trek v Star Wars rivalry.

Isn't there a reformatting/expansion of Kids Zone supposed to be happening? Seems that land would be perfect to make a "knock it out of the park" style kids area for Universal, which is the primary criticism. Maybe an animated area, but not tied to any one company like Dreamworks or Illumination. Just a thought.
