Even back in 1999 I recall the outer areas of the lot as old and patched. Almost like an abandoned business? Am I recalling that correctly? I've only been there 3 or 4 times.

That's just the style of paving. It's kind of semi-sandy to go with the Discovery Cove theme.

As of this afternoon it looks like the lift hill is about 1/3 complete. They are making great progress now, and I would expect the lift and first drop complete before the end of the year.

It's rising Loving the colour scheme, just not too sure if this will work or clash with Kraken. There's a rumour also that this may be getting on board audio which would be cool!

It doesn't clash at all. The supports are merely a darker shade of Kraken and the purple is an excellent contrast to that as the tones are equally saturated without being offensive to the eye.

Agreed, though I am not entirely sure about Kraken's supports.

The Purple reminds me of the Superman: Ride of Steel when they decided it was a good idea to change the name/theme to Bizzaro.

I love the teal supports. They really compliment the Purple track.

Kraken needs a refurb/paint job anyway. Just looking at that picture and others recently, the colors are very faded.

I prefer Vibrant colors. I've never been a fan of that Yellow though, i'd like to see a color change there.

I've always liked Kraken's "sandy" colored supports...but..opinions are opinions haha

Mako is looking amazing..I like the color on the underside of the track too

I never said I like it. The name sucks, but it still is an improvement. I imagine this won't be the final name. This whole area was very last minute.

Is this the tiny tube through the fish tank? It was pathetic 16 years ago but by then, I had already walked through the doorly zoo exhibit which is 10-15' wider and taller. That was impressive.
