Me and the family are going to be at Aquatica and then Sea World on Halloween day. I'll see what kind of pictures of Manta construction I can get!

Although with the cooler temps maybe not Aquatica.

It is supposed to get in the 60's at night down here this weekend, so I am sure a lot cooler up by you guys.

Yeah, the wife and I explored the Canaveral National Seashore park today while the kids were in school and it was 80 and sunny, been getting down in the 60s at night. This weather is perfect!

We didn't make it out on Halloween day but managed to hit Sea World yesterday on Sunday. Got a couple new pics of Manta construction, they were working on it when we were there and seem to be moving really fast. Also saw some of the wire framing they use to make the fake rock scenery on site in the parking lot but my camera batteries died!

Here's new construction updates, they are moving fast:

It's impressive that they're starting this early. I may have a reason to visit next year, besides the one that I've never been to SeaWorld.

Wow. When I passed SeaWorld by about 2 weeks ago, that sure as hell wasn't there. The supports were, but no track. Impressive.

It doesn't have the signature "dip" like other B&M coasters.

Funny thing is that this opens up in Summer of 09 and is coming along nicely. Compared to HRRR which opens sooner in Spring of 09 and looks as if just plumbing was done.

 Ask them...when we exited the houses on Saturday, Jason and I were debating whether they were coaster supports or pipelines.

Well, how else do you think they will get the... er, spills out of the vicinity?

I hope that the slower pace of construction means that Universal's taking their sweet time.... and not in the wait-until-the-last-minute-then-build-everything-at-once take their time either.

Flyers are generally tame, I know Superman: Ultimate Flight up here in NJ defff doesn't have a drop. These coasters are more for the flying experience moreso than thrills.

A lot of people get sick on these too, from what I've seen.

It may not seem so, but SM:UF has a drop of like a 100ft.

We were out at SeaWorld last weekend and I snapped a few shots of Manta construction from the sky tower thing. Here's one...
