If you drive Eastbound on I-4 by Seaworld, a bunch of track pieces and supports are laying by the highway on a small patch of land.

I was at SeaWorld on Saturday for my dad's job's party. The whole park was shut down; they opened 2 attracitons, a dance party, free food, and etc.

I saw the Manta for the first time ever up close, and I was thinking geez. This thing is HUGE. I was looking at the coaster and it was so big when I noticed the supports stretching over the sidewalk. I was so excited for this coaster to come. :happy: Hurry up SeaWorld!

According to the Orlando Sentinel over on the theme park rangers thread they have a picture of the last piece of track being put into place. Is anyone heading out to Sea World in the near future to grab some pics of the complete coaster? Much appreciated!! I have no time with this crazy holiday work schedule! Thanks!

I guess it's the extra theming that's really going to make this take a while, I guess, because they could easily open it in January if they keep this up.

Yep. I'm guessing that they could start out with a "soft" opening in late March if they get the themeing done pretty fast, with an official opening some time in April.
I'm pretty sure that they've still got a lot to do inside the aquarium/queue, so that's going to take a while to complete. Plus, all of the exterior themeing, foliage, splashdown pool, and shops that they have planned.

We didn't notice this until today, but the wall now says "Summer 2009" instead of Spring.

I bet this could be opened right now and people would love it, so that theming better be amazing since they've got so much extra time on their hands. I love me some stingrays, so hopefully the tank area (where's it being implemented, BTW?) will be great too.
