Well... I mean... they DID have Zombie Captain America at DCA :eyes:
So... they featured a character from a barely gory, barely scary single episode of an MCU show. Why does that mean they'd feature an iconic monster from one of the scariest and most well-known horror movies ever made??

MCU equals Family Friendly

New Alien Film in no way is family friendly

I don't think anyone on this site would mind an Alien attraction or meet and greet....but when dr facilier from a movie that are pushing can't even be included...we are just being realistic
I'm sure a Alien meet and greet would do amazing and have long lines but Disney is too safe now to try things...honestly the Marvel Zombie was a big surprise to most people

Well not with that attitude. Sheesh.. it isn't that far-fetched, but sure let's coddle the overly sensitive generation even more. God forbid we cater to an older crowd instead of children/families.

Anything is possible. Even if it's not "alien encounter resurrected", Disney still owns it & honestly they need a more "mature" IP in the parks. But it'd be watered-down anyway.

Indiana Jones already pushes that fine line when you really look at it. If it wasn't for its legacy (and Lucasfilm), I doubt they'd be throwing it into AK. It's a miracle we still have it at DL.
Disney and Universal are going for different groups of people. They will not cross. Just like Uni will never have a ton of toddler level rides. They will have a mix of rides to allow for mix age families (httyd is a perfect example of how they can do this). Disney is not going for mature audience. They are going for the younger kids who like princesses and star wars. We will not get mature content at Disney. While Uni and Disney cross a lot in multi-age families, they really are not after the same groups of people.

It has absolutely nothing to do with people are too sensitive. It has everything to do with the ages they are targetting.

Not sure if anyone has been reading up on the Future WDW expansion thread, but @HHN Maddux has brought up some stuff he read from insiders posting on Magic on what the future could hold for Disneyland. Here’s the post:
He also had some info regarding Disneyland and international parks, as well as clarifications on the WDW stuff:
  • Magic Kingdom - Tomorrowland Speedway will get update like DL, BTMR will get update, new nighttime parade is now a lock, and Stitch replacement will *not* be announced at D23.

  • Epcot - Clarified that Inside Out is not a Figment replacement, he's heard that it'll just have its own new attraction in Epcot's future. Also said to keep an eye out for one more Epcot announcement at D23 this year.

  • Disneyland - Avatar with unique River Journey using Shanghai PotC tech, Tomorrowland finally gets major overhaul with new Peoplemover, Hollywoodland replaced, Disney Springs-esque district expansion
  • Disney Studios - Avatar and Lion King land

  • Disneyland Paris - Soarin' 2.0, Indiana Jones Adventure, new version of Rise?

  • Shanghai - New Marvel land + Midway Mania

  • Hong Kong - Tomorrowland getting a new E-ticket, but won't be announced at D23
I’m in a “believe it when I see it” mindset right now, but maybe this could finally be it? Maybe this is the Tomorrowland update we’ve waited for?

if we know Autopia is staying and going electric, and we won't touch Star Tours, Buzz, and Space, other than getting something in the Magic Eye theater and a peoplemover, how much of an overhaul could there truly be?

Well….

-General esthetic facelift
-Relocating Astro Orbiter back up top
-Bringing back the People Mover
-New attraction in Magic Eye
-Electric conversion for Autopia
-Getting rid of Innoventions for new flex venue?
-Maaaaaybe an update for Buzz? Light update/refurb for Space? They’re gonna have to do work on both as well as Star Tours to accommodate the People Mover.
-Improved food options

Idk sounds like a fairly sizable redo to me. Even then I just want the People Mover back and the Astro Orbiter to go back up top.

All of this sounds TOO good to be true. But I'm hoping that it all is. D23 needs to get here ASAP

I'm really not sure why they'd bother putting a new show in Magic Eye when almost every show they've put there only gets 15 minute waits after a couple of months. It's be much better served as anything else (The MK Stitch Replacement, queue space alongside Pizza Planet for a new ride, anything really)

I think rumors are swirling like crazy because it’s silly season. Every imagineer trying to get their project green lit before D23 so the leak projects to try to put pressure on based on fan reaction.

Peoplemover just seems like it’s being willed into existence and I’ll believe when I see it because that would be a massive undertaking.

Now if they can switch Honda over to sponsor the new peoplemover though then maybe we have something. Get Honda to put up some of the money for the attraction to keep costs down and then long term, peoplemover is a much cheaper attraction to sponsor than Autopia.
