Universal is all over the place with their announcements. Everything from press releases to network TV. So who knows. But I personally think it's a great idea. Dropping the announcement along with some concept art in front of the entire gaming community can't hurt. And all the national media outlets will pick up on it so the casual gamer family will see it too.

I think dropping the news around E3 would make sense, and maybe even having a model of the land on the E3 show floor, but I sort of doubt they would do it as part of the presentation.

If anything, I bet when KidZone closes, they will specify it is for Nintendo and show some vague overhead art, and the attraction details will come around E3 2017, once they are well into production.

Nintendo has stopped having big presentations at e3 the last couple of years, instead focusing on their Nintendo Direct videos to announce new stuff.

To answer Jungle Skip's question.......Just give me Princess Peach's castle.

What to expect from Nintendo at Universal - Orlando Informer

What does it mean that Steven Spielberg is protecting his baby E.T. Adventure from the theme park grim reaper with all his might? It's mentioned in the article up top

He's making sure they don't replace it.

I suppose Comcast in this particular analogy, but it's just that - an analogy. They weren't being serious. Just in that Comcast has been on a attraction replacement spree and Spielberg wants to protect ET.

I'm sure some people would lose their mind having a princess castle at Universal.

Why not.

It would give the public a nice view driving along Universal Blvd.

Princess Zelda has a much better castle.

Oh, and @scott_walker great job on the shopped over lay. I do agree that a castle there would be cool.

I'm trying to find a decent picture of Zelda's castle to do the same thing with. I think that would be a better choice too.

It'd be Peach's castle, if any. Let's be real.

Build the Great Deku Tree for Zelda. Just build all the Disney icons in Nintendoland haha

Well, I think Hogwarts is cooler than Cindy's Shack as it is. So on to a the other Icons. Zelda would actually be a great IP for The Lost Continent.

I'd personally put Zelda on the land behind MIB/Simpsons. I'd REALLY love to see a Phase 2 centered around Pokémon take over Toon Lagoon.

They could make the castle as grand as they wanted. Wouldn't have to follow the N64 model.

I kinda like that idea. Instead of doing one giant Nintendoland break up the major IP's into smaller completely dedicated lands.

Oh yeah, forgot about that plot. That would work well too.
