I am hearing rumblings that there will be no windshield or 3D. That 3D will not be required. Interesting hmm?
That'd be new information to me, but super interesting. I can't see how Mario Kart could be done without a little 3-D here or there, but very interesting none the less.
Makes me think this ride will be the next Spiderman or Forbidden Journey in terms of innovative ride systems
I'm hoping that it's a harrier jet compared to their Wright Brothers glider. Spider-Man and FJ are incredible, but the level of interactivity that could be on display is staggering.
It will be interesting to see if Universal creative can equal or best the jewel that is Diagon.
Attraction-wise, I think Nintendo will wipe the floor with Diagon. I'm not sure the atmosphere and outdoor theming can necessarily keep up, as creating cartoon-y visuals from 4-5 different properties just can't live up to the unified vision of Diagon. But I think it will easily be a top 5 land in the world.
Also, anecdotally, I saw the power of Nintendo land yesterday. A friend's girlfriend posted on his wall about it. Neither of them, or this entire group of my friends, are "in the know" about theme parks. I gave them some higher level info, and the entire group of about 15 all said they're 100% going when it opens.
I think Nintendo, like Potter and Star Wars, will be mega successful because it draws in a crowd that normally would not really care much about theme parks.
