I am not sure. I am still trying to confirm the other info.

I'd really hope so. If Universal can use the 3D models from the games, they could create some really great stuff. I love the idea of the projected screens onto a windscreen as well. It would allow for the perfect mix of real environments with the added GUI overlay you'd expect from the games.

Then there's those excellent 7 Dwarf mine Coaster AA's with the projected faces.

I'm thinking Mario Kart will end up being what most posters were hoping that Fast & Furious would be. Mario Kart as a new tech interactive trackless speed racing event that will leave Test Track in it's dust would appeal to those that aren't satisfied with the more family oriented Fast & Furious ride system/attraction we will be seeing.

Personally, I don't see Mario Kart being "fast". I think it's going to be the "Disney killer" family attraction so many have been whinging about around here.

Yeah, since the buzz about Mario Kart is it's a trackless darkride, I can say without a doubt Mario Kart will NOT be like Test Track. Trackless darkrides don't reach the speeds that a Test Track type of darkride can reach, but that's totally alright since that's not what they're aiming for.

Trackless darkrides have a smorgasborg of potential, especially with interactivity. That's what Uni is aiming for and I do agree with JungleSkip this'll be the honest to god family attraction we want Universal to have.

I just hope if they want this to be a "true" family attraction, that there's no height requirement. It's not a family attraction if the entire family can't experience it together.

I wasn't really referring to the speed, more so the individual car quick movements to create some driving thrill. I guess I didn't communicate that well.

If Poohs Hunny Hunt and Mystic Manor are any indication, we will see no height restrictions for Mario Kart. That is unless they possibly follow the Antarctica and go 42 (which I don't think will be the case).

Oh yeah, the other rumbly buzzy thing I heard is that it may not be trackless. I am so confused as I thought I had it all figured out... :saywhat:

Don't get carried away! This bit of info came from my aunt's sister-in-law who works in food services who's friend heard from someone in custodial who is dating a man who has connections with a sinbad actor who learned everything from a mechanic at his local meineke service center. It's no wonder I am confused.

Not sure how likely it is but I'm really hoping this first phase is centered around just Mario and the Mushroom Kingdom, and possibly Donkey Kong Country. A second phase could expand to Hyrule and whatever else.

You're just being clever. I'm staying with the no trackless comment. So it may be a family ride though not toddler included, but with a modicum of real ,not simulated, racing thrill, AA's, projections, no 3D glasses and lots of new tech. Just a wild guess on my part, though.

very interesting...

If this could be on the scale of Mystic Manor I'll be happy. Maybe effect other rtide vehicles like MIB would be cool...

I'd love to see an age requirement for some rides.

I am curious, why?

Legoland has this and it is very easy to say your child is older than they are.

lets take the Kong rumours for example that the guide will be taken away by Kong. I think t would be interesting to see them coming back with an arm missing, blood spraying every where, bit of swearing.

Then have an alternative family version where they show up fine and all smiles.

Even an alternative T2 movie, John Connor swore a lot as a kid, hearing him drop a few f bombs in that motorbike chase scene would be incredible.

So your whole goal of having an "age requirement" is so you can hear people use a bit of profanity here and there? I mean, really?
