I'm normally an optimist when it comes to almost everything, but given the height of that waterfall, I have to wonder how long it will last before getting shut off.

This isn't the first time they have advertised a waterfall though. In the ad spot during the Christmas Day parade it was there. Jon Landau and James Cameron have talked about it too. It would be incredibly pointless of them to continue to bring up something that isn't a real thing.

Wonder why they didn't use mist nozels...Seems like the waterfalls kill the illusion of height...Aren't these things supposed to be hundreds of feet in the air?

We don't know what they did or will use. That's a CGI fantasy.

The main thing Avatar is going to do right is creating a land that truly has to be experienced in the day and the night. Could be its saving grace when all said and done. Funny how an idea of creating a ride that is totally different from day to night has come to Avatar.

Well, Kilimanjaro Safaris always had the concept of day and night.. it was just scrapped when it was discovered to be "interesting ride becomes painfully dull" when it opened and for whatever reason it has been reprieved. Admittedly i lobbied for that reprieve, but if they knew it was this boring i dont know why they did it again.

As i've always said, Avatar is a great theme park property because the visuals are what stole the show in the movie. So it's a great franchise to visually lend itself to a land, but it's also a franchise probably most UNDESERVING of a land.

Completely...and imaginative world with no substance...It's pretty but not compelling...

The one thing Disney has going for them is that if Avatar sequels never get made, the land is still beautiful. But supposedly we may be looking at 3-4 more movies, which could drive continued hype to this land if they are actually any good.

Apparently Cameron is finally done with all of the scripts and MoCap work is slated to begin in August.

Someone at Universal needs to post a parody video of the Banshee girls hoisting guests into backpacks and running around with them.
