They could've won, if they would've put something more unique. The walls are still bare even with the poster looking "art". The falls and landscaping are beautiful but the interiors are bland.

I prefer the blank walls to swap meet art myself. Though, an Elvis on velvet might add that special touch

Cuba Libre. Mmmmm.....old school for Rum and Coke done right with a squashed lime wedge.

3 miles from my house.

Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Yeah. And it wasn't just the rum that was strong. You could tell it was like real cane sugar syrup for the "Coke." It was GOOD.

Additionally, the dinner menu at Amatista has changed slightly since opening day. I have seen mixed to negative tweets about the food and service, so I'd assume they took some items off the menu to focus on making the food better.

Hi - Long-time lurker here...lured into joining to see the fantastic pictures people were kindly posting during construction!
I'd be grateful if anyone would know whether I could park my car in guest parking and nip over to the parks to pick up and activate my new annual pass......prior to checking in ...so that I get my AP rate at the hotel.
I would rather not have to pay to park in the car park to get the AP..and then pay again for hotel parking.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

That is quick. Good to see they are taking feedback and making changes quickly.

You can just park in the hotel garage and boat over. Then come back and check in. You don't get charged parking until check in.

You might even be able to take care of your AP at the hotel as they have a ticketing counter.

Back in the day when I loved & drank Moscow Mules, they were always served in a special small copper mug, which kept the drink super cold. Have you ever had it served that way?

Cool story. I didn't realize that when I was drinking it, it was such a rare drink. The key, though, is the copper cup. If it isn't served in one pf those, it just wouldn't be the same....Thanks for the find.:cheers:

I believe they dropped some items to focus more on quality. They may have been trying to do to much, and only delivering mediocre food. Better to have a smaller really good menu, than a huge one that offers poor quality.

What work is left to be finished? Is there an expected date for the resort to be finished?

I believe all hotel guest areas are completed, save for some maintenance like fixing landscaping and paint touchups. Their main focus is now completing the convention areas.

Also, here's a POV of the waterslide....

Checking trip advisor. Person claimed that they were not allowed to bring any outside food or drink into the hotel. They are claiming the hotel is forcing them buy overpriced food/drink from them.
That can't be true? can it?

Is that the longest slide in Uni pools? That seems very long for a hotel pool slide

I've never had that issue at the other Lowe's hotels.I always take breakfast stuff, wine & soda. CBBR even has kitchens & fridge's in their suites. I think Sapphire has small fridges also. I don't even know how they would check something like that, let alone prevent it. (Note; I do know you can't take outside purchased alcohol or wine into the pool areas. Supposedly there's a Florida law against it in pool areas)

Looks similar in length to the Portofino slide.

Seeing as how I saw Papa John's bring someone pizza on day 1, they probably are having a miscommunication/misunderstanding somewhere.
