So i'm putting the hammer down on this show... it's just not that good. Now that i've seen Andor along with other shows i've been watching (and I know it's a completely different type of show), this show just seems shallow and pointless. The writing is what really separates the two shows. One feels more adult and one feels like a show that is spinning it's wheels. There is some enjoyable aspects to the show, but eh. I'd live without it just fine.

I do enjoy Tatiana Maslany as Jen/She-Hulk though and if you've seen this weeks episode (which I don't necessarily recommend, but if you've stuck along this far...) there was a cliff hanger that supposedly is going to lead to much bigger things by the time the series is over.

I'll put this in spoilers, but really, just read it...
As we saw a few episodes back and then at the end of this episode, they are trying to get She-Hulk's blood. What for? Well, according to rumors, it will be used for the MCU to basically multiply it's Hulk family while avoiding the Universal distribution contract still. Rumor is Red Hulk will be in Cap 4 (with She-Hulk and possibly Hulk fighting alongside Sam).

There's also another Hulk-specific project in early development as well, which could possibly be like what happened with Captain Marvel 2 becoming The Marvels. What I mean is, it would sort of be like a She-Hulk season 2, except nothing like it at the same time because no one is asking for that. This would be a new show (let's call it "The Hulks") focusing on the different Hulks.

I just can't believe that almost every character is very annoying. This doesn't feel like the same universe as the rest of the avengers.
It really doesn't feel like the same world as everything else.
It's not funny. It's just annoying. Wedding friends annoying, lawyer side story annoying. Everything is annoying. I'm basically a marvel completist but I'm half watching this as I browse online.
( The fight in the wedding was pretty bad. CGI was really bad)
And I knew they were gonna shoehorn some big villain plot for the last episodes.

I get doing a sitcom style show in concept. I think this had promise in it's very early development. I did enjoy some early episodes, but it's just gotten worse and worse as the series has gone along.

To me, this is very much like a mix of Seinfeld (in being a show about nothing essentially) and maybe a show like The Mindy Project, but at the same time not anywhere close to as good as either of those two shows? I think if they went in a How I Met You Mother direction, but as a superhero sitcom, it could've been a lot better because at least that's a show that progresses the story with every episode, is funny, and the characters are likable. Basically everything that She-Hulk isn't.

It's just baffling to me that they decided to make a show that debuted a character like She-Hulk and made her not only unlikeable, but also just kind of annoying. Again, I like Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk and I like Renee-Elise Goldsberry as Mallory Book. However, most of the rest of the rest of the casting I don't care too much for and the writing is really hurting the show big time. This was just a terrible way to introduce a character into the MCU. I don't understand a lot of why some people didn't like Ms. Marvel as that was a pretty good show imo.

I'm also down for a funny show but this show isnt up to the level of the Good Place, Parks and Rec, the Office, Classic Simpsons or honestly even South Park when its meh. At least South Park when its not funny has clever messages

Like this episode felt like filler and wish they just made this show 8 episodes. I like the main character but I just can't with the most the side characters. You want to have a Wong episode fine but these other side "powered" people just aren't that interesting besides Abomination

depending on how this ends, the entire first half of the show is filler, (that is, if the real point of the show starts right now with the villains plot, and the true connection to marvel stuff)
i know that the writers have said that they didnt want to lean too much on the lawyer stuff, or something like that, but this first half of the show is starting to feel like so much filler, and it feels like a lot of wasted opportunities with the other super humans only being used for jokes.

I mean Abomination being free and not from a break out is something, and I know we got the "team" for Thunderbolts...but I bet he is on it by the end of the show

I don't know anything about spoilers of upcoming episodes...
The writers will say that the past episodes are introductions and character development, build up, But, they haven't introduced any big characters that will transfer to the movies, (no one besides she hulk anyway) maybe her best friend.
comedy or not, the past 6 episodes have not introduced anything important. Or any important plot points. ( Again I don't know anything of future episodes) in the big marvel scheme of things, with how interconnected everything in marvel always is,
These 6 episodes feel like a waste of time basically.
I only hope abomination has a big point for being here

That’s my biggest problem right now. I can’t pinpoint exactly why I actively disliked Episode Six so much, but I know for the show as a whole, it’s a comedy that simply isn’t funny. That’s a problem.

This show couldve had this wedding episode and not made it feel like filler if there was a competent writing team. If I was laughing raucously every episode, I think I’d forgive a lot of these things. I’ve barely laughed much at anything through 6 episodes.

The wedding stuff felt like from a tv show from 1996 with all the cliches and bad acting and annoying friend characters
Analyzing the show and the episodes, a lot of it is stale cliches and stuff that was done in shows in the 90s. The writers are kinda bringing stuff I saw in 1995 or something.
I'm not just hating on it, but the wedding scenes were a perfect example of something you would see in a 90s show. The cliches of the rude friends, treating her badly. Making her clean. Being petty.
( Even the dating episode had a lot of 90s cliches, or even. 80s cliches) thinking back to the dating stuff, With the guys being superficial,
Episode 6 made me see where the writer is coming from.

If I was to analyze scene by scene, each part has some kind of 80s, 90s cliche or old joke from 20 years ago, ( even the clothing scenes from last episode)

I think you hit it on the head there at the end a bit. Episode 6 really felt like when Jen was talking, I was hearing a lot of stuff the writers have had to deal with in their life and they are using Jen as a voice to vent.

I know why Jen changes her appearance when she turns to She-Hulk. That's her idealized way that she wishes she looked. But it's just getting to a point where it's sort of annoying where she thinks she's not pretty as Jen because Tatiana Maslany is beautiful. I realize some women might actually relate to this feeling, I just think that's too bad that people can't see their own beauty and instead want to change themselves so drastically.

That's all without me talking about how ridiculous this Titania/She-Hulk stuff is. Titania keeps getting her ass whooped, but if you watch, she messed up her face not from getting punched in the face by a Hulk, but because she slipped on some ice and fell. Comedy!

Once again....if this show is going to try to be funny then it has to be as funny as at least current simpsons/south park. Like I just don't get it, if the writers wanted this show to be funny then they should have better jokes.

I feel like I'm just not going to watch this show ever again after this, its action is too short and its not that funny. Hoping the ending has something interesting

I really disliked the prior few episodes. I actually thought this was one of the better of the season and if it had hit more of this tone consistently I think i'd feel better about this show as a whole.

This show doesn't need to be laugh out loud funny to me imo. I liked this episode where it was light in tone, but it didn't feel like they were trying too hard to be funny and constantly falling flat. If it was a 9 episode sitcom length dramedy that actually focused on Jen like this episode instead of the other episodes that relied a lot on cameos, I think this show could've been a lot better.

Much much better. Kinda sad that the best episodes are when it features someone else ( hulk, Wong, Abomination) core marvel characters.
I hate to say it, but I only care when marvel related stuff is happening. ( Caring about marvel stuff in a marvel related show, what a wild idea lol)
It feels like she hulk works best as a side character. Or when the story is focused on something marvel related.
The twist was kind of cheesy and too obvious. I kinda wish they had not done it. But the entire show is full of cliches so I guess it was obvious lol

This show tried to do its own thing and it tried to set up their own new characters, but I was happy when it was an abomination related episode.

I enjoyed last week's episode. I still feel like this is one of those Disney+ projects that doesn't feel like it has a super clear roadmap, but at this point I'll stick it out the end.

I guess it was because 1) they changed her powers pretty significantly from the comic version 2) the middle part focused on a stale “villain family” with another “the world will be destroyed” plot when there was more compelling bird themed villain they could have used from the comics.

I wonder how the original Dan Slott comic was compared to this.

On the She-Hulk topic, the episode for tomorrow is supposed to be the one Daredevil is in.

I mean, the villains in all of the Disney+ shows suck, save for Loki and WandaVision. Marvel seems to use bottom of the barrel, predictable villains for these shows because they're villains that they would otherwise never use, simple as that. They are saving the good villains for Kamala's future in films.

On her powers, I know there was mixed reaction, but as someone who had limited exposure to her beforehand (Marvel's The Avengers game in 2020), I thought her original powers were impractical to translate consistently to screen and I like the hard light power she has in the MCU, while occasionally mixing in the stretching arm.

The show isn't award winning, but the only MCU show I think that might be better than it when ticking on all cylinders is Loki. Either way, I feel like their needs to be some quality control over at the MCU D+ department because Feige is clearly not anywhere near as hands on this phase as he used to be. I have high hopes in Secret Invasion's tone based on the trailer though. Looks a lot like The Winter Soldier.

I worry about this episode.

How does Daredevil fit into this world where courtrooms are a bad joke?

I worry only in the sense that it's the first extended time that we'll spend with Daredevil in the MCU. What was written for Cox in just that short scene in NWH is probably the perfect blend of Matt Murdock with a slice of comedy.

Basically, if this sucks, i'm gonna pretend it didn't happen and just move on to Echo thinking that She-Hulk Daredevil was sort of just them having fun, and now Echo and Born Again is where we better see them get serious.

So, that was about as good as we could have hoped they handle Daredevil/Matt Murdock in a show that takes itself about as serious as a Cheech & Chong movie.

Almost everything to do with Matt/Daredevil was handled with care and they didn't go for the cheap laughs with him, even while there was a bunch of ridiculous stuff happening around him. We got a nice courtroom scene (with an update on the Sokovia Accords from him), a bar scene, a fight scene, fleeting love between Murdock & Jen, and then an implied sex scene. There was some jokes, but they were mostly within character and the fight scene really has me looking forward to seeing more of him in the MCU because they showed him whooping ass (albeit at a TV-14 edit).

The two have a relationship in the comics so it's not surprising to see them taking a bit of that path here. The only thing I wish they would've done without was the walk of shame scene. If the worst thing they did with him was a quick visual joke to show him doing a morning walk of shame, we made it out of this mostly unscathed because the way this show has been, it could've been a lot worse. I mean, this is an episode where the Netflix main theme music was actually used at one point, too!

Daredevil fight scene below.
