Two different major coasters at two different SF parks next year by two different manufacturers is what I'm told. Who they are and where the second goes is anyones guess.

To be honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if Magic Mountain received a T-Rex because of something you said. Originally you said they weren’t building anything until 2020, then you quoted your post saying “Change of Plans”. If that’s the case, I wouldn’t be surprised if production for the T-Rex was moved up a year for Magic Mountain.

So yeah, I guess that means the S&S is out at SFMM. My picks so far:

1) RMC dueling Raptors - If by chance people are right, and the T-Rex is not ready yet, this is the main alternative. And since the cost would be cheaper, SFMM could really go nuts with this.

2) RMC T-Rex - The footers as the they look now, look remarkably similar to that prototype shown back in 2015. With just slight changes to fit that land back there, SFMM could save on R&D and push up the time frame by simply going with that original design.

3) Premier Rides duel launch - Everyone is sleeping on this one, but given the history between SF and Premier, I'm not sure why people are ignoring this possibility. They were VERY happy with the way Superman at SFDK turned out. And Full Throttle has had some of the best reliability and uptime of any launch coaster the company has ever added.

4) Intamin Giga - This one would come out of nowhere and shock everybody, except me. If at any point those markers start extending toward Roaring Rapids, SFMM is going big, very big.

Why is S&S out?

PS: You shouldn't be giving people false hope with a Giga. Just sayin.

^ Technically they're not out, but given the strong rumors of the S&S going to Great America, and the post above that two different companies will be building the two roller coasters in question, that takes S&S out in my mind.

But who the hell knows. Maybe both parks are getting the same ride.

Less then 6 days away! As of right now anything is possible from a Premier Rides multi-launch to a S&S dueling launch to a T-rex to a dueling Raptor. No one is saying anything...
yet.

I think RMC T-Rex is the most likely route, but I would kill for an Intamin Giga. Don’t think it’s likely as SF and CF aren’t really fond of Intamin for their lack of reliability.

Yep. Six Flags announced it on Tuesday & updated the website. However, this is NOT the first time they've featured IP's at Fright Fest. Remember, they had Suicide Squad the past 2 years (WB's testing the DC waters for "Horror Made Here"). Let's not forget they had an Alice Cooper maze long before HHN Hollywood did!

This means Fright Fest will have 3 NEW mazes & 2 NEW scarezones, 1 returning scarezone. This announcement was a huge surprise to me, but it makes sense & does fit Fright Fest better than HHN. I knew something didn't feel right about "Vault 666" not returning, so now we know THIS is its replacement. (Really wish they'd use one of the old maze locations in the back by DC Universe).

Also, there will be a HELL FEST panel at ScareLA this weekend, so its possible they might tease something about bringing the movie to life at Six Flags.

Viper is now closed. @Chris Galindo Has the refurb officially started?

This is what Viper currently looks like as of Tuesday. I do know a group of a few Viper ride ops took a trip up to Discovery Kingdom recently sooo.... hmm... From the rumor mill... new chain, paint, etc.. Its still too early to guess which area of the park they will revamp next, but I'm sure this Mexican Viper/X2 area is possible.

Anyway, here is a brief update from this past Tuesday (August 21st)

^The dining/seating area for Johnny Rockets on the left (DC Universe) side is being worked on

^The tables have been relocated to the CraZanity side..

^The giant gate/wall is actually themed complete with barbwire across the top, so even walled off, it will still keep its theme. (for now)

DIRT PORN

^As you can see.... its a very big space with a lot of dirt! The kids will have hours of fun building castles in 115 degree heat!

Now for something old...

^This is one of two beautiful gothic style columns left abandoned in the park (like the Cyclone Bay sign even though the land hasn't existed in years & the monorail track). This was part of the entrance into the old Batman stunt show arena where "Battle For Metropolis" currently takes up residence.

That was from Reddit. This guy thinks we could be getting a family coaster:

Judging by his video, he actually seems to be onto something. A Vekoma Racing family coaster fits all the clues, it’s cheap, it would appeal to families....I’m praying this is not what they’re doing for their 20th coaster. I’m going to listen to the Reddit guy.

View attachment 7593 Looks like an S&S launch it is.

Why are we trusting a random Reddit post? This seems way too far fetched if you ask me. Especially Kids World and the FORTNITE coaster.

Wow. I could actually see that. Why hasn’t this been brought up before?

There is actually relevancy for Kids World, as there was a leak of a site with that name and a list of various attractions. And from what it seems on that Reddit post, apparently the one who leaked Twisted Cyclone and Fright Fest for SFOG can confirm the 2019 project for that.

Also, and I'll comment to SFMM..there is accuracy to that.

Wait, for SFMM, are you referring to the Vekoma model or the prediction?

As for Kids World, I know about the leak. But no way that it opens in 2019.

There’s also a comment by the same user (apparently) that says SFFT is getting a FORTNITE Skywarp, Great Escape is getting a dark-ride, and Frontier City is getting a duel-inverted coaster. Wtf? I call BS.
