I don't know. 10 years ago there were a lot less High School and Middle School kids at the event and it was an infinitely better more manageable experience for me. I advocated for chaperones for anyone under 18.

I definitely agree there were less teens then (also less people overall) because they didn't have as many of the popular-to-the-masses IPs, but the shift has already happened and I don't see Universal going back because $$$. Trust me, I get the annoyance from some of these kids, some of them are truly terrible, but unless they start having massive issues with teenagers throwing riots in the park (or even something akin to whatever is happening in some of these Minecraft screenings...) and/or damaging property significantly I don't see anything changing and we'll just have to roll our eyes and try to avoid the obnoxious ones..but I say that for adults too, because TBH in my personal experience in the nearly twenty years I've been going, the biggest issues I've run into (and yes I realize this is anecdotal but for purposes of the argument) have been from drunk, adult men (especially when it comes to witnessing harassment of the scare-actors) and I don't see calls for them being barred either so...we'll probably just have to begrudgingly share space unless people start getting significantly out of hand to where Universal can't ignore it (i.e damages, uptick in harassment or assault of scare-actors and other guests, not just "acting annoying and loud".)

Agreed. I’ve seen more problematic adults than teens. While yes the teens at the event have increased a lot in these past years but so have the crowds in general.

By far the biggest problem demographic, at least in Hollywood, has consistently been 21-26 year old couples and friend groups completely wasted out of their minds, vaping in peoples faces in the queues and touching things they obviously shouldn’t. I hardly ever notice teens acting out.

For whatever reason, especially in the horror community, I feel like people are just looking for excuses to bash kids for enjoying the same things they do.

people get annoyed by teenagers because, yes, teenagers are annoying. yes, you were an annoying teenager. no, i don’t think we should ban teenagers from public spaces but i also don’t begrudge anyone rolling their eyes at a bunch of screaming 14 year old boys. it’s the circle of life.

This is really the way I look at it.

Is a group of screaming 14 year olds any more annoying than a group of drunk frat bros?

No lol

I’m so sick of seeing that game year after year, queue after queue.

It's amazing - the game just won't go away. People were playing this at HHN 27. We're almost at HHN 34.

WHY IS THIS GAME STILL AROUND

Universal should release a HHN Heads Up style app game to play in the queue like they've done with HHN trivia :lmao::lmao:.

Edit: They can call it "Heads Off". You're welcome, Universal, I'll expect my royalty check in the mail...

Heads Up has become as ubiquitous as, say, Monopoly or Scrabble. I think it's just One of Those Games now.

As someone who was once upon a time trapped in those lines playing heads up with my friends, it makes the time pass so quickly and makes for a fun time. Easy and accessible. Genuinely I don’t understand why people playing this in lines has become a complaint/talking point, let people enjoy themselves and pass their time how they choose too. This thread is about the “teen problem” at HHN, but if the teens are standing in queues playing heads up and minding their own business, are they actually an HHN problem? This feels very much like a “get off my lawn” issue

I was quietly reading these last posts, and I personally never played it,
but I always thought it was pretty harmless and charming and funny to see people playing.
I've always enjoyed watching people playing it and it's always been funny to watch. I seriously never knew it annoyed anyone.
I have nothing but positive memories of watching people playing that game lol. it's always been amusing

I was joking as well. The game is harmless. Just funny to me how mainstream the game has became at HHN. I’m as sure I’ll see that game being played as I’m sure I’ll see 10 houses, 5 zones, and shows. :lmao:

Our two granddaughters played it during their three long waits in line for Slinky last year. The queue is kind of boring, so they had fun with the game, and the time passed quick for them. It was a positive experience for them....Now if it was a FOP, RotR, Forbidden Journey or Gringotts excellent queue, we wouldn't have let them play since the queue's as good as the attractions......HHN house queues are long and boring. The game would be helpful.

I’m not saying teens don’t so this, but I have seen this by drunk adults just as much.
