So far, they're losing the May/June fight to Universal, even with all the ticket & hotel deep discounts........I hope all the Disney fans see this and change their vacations to that week. I'll be at WDW Saturday for a week and I 'm hoping it's as slow then as it has been the past week or two. ....Last year we took the girls in June, a week earlier. Lines were very comfortable, except for Slinky, which has become WDW's Hagrid's with it's always long lines. I wouldn't stand in line for it, but the girls loved it, and begged us into three rides over the three days at DHS. I was soooo bored. Horrible queue in the SUN.

I hope Disney and Universal are both taking notes on how NOT to be caught so flat footed when your competitor is opening something major.

I think both Disney and Universal never expected the collapse of international tourism to their Florida parks that was a very significant percentage of their income/attendance....admission/on site hotels/meals/beverage. They probably expected a Potter 2010/11 situation where they (WDW) ended up feeding off of that added Orlando theme park tourism (a lot of it International) that Potter spurred. There's a number of reasons that international tourism to US has declined, & not all theme park related.

Are you sure? I read on twitter that inflation, cultural unrest, and conflict in the Middle East would’ve never happened if Disney built more new rides.

From limited videos I've seen--this looks like a massive step-up. Classic EPCOT charm feels really great with this one; in a cheesy, quirky, and fun way.

One particular scene though is genuinely surprising.
