Dare I say, could this potentially allow the house to expand further into the main queue? That main room just before you've entered the house the last two years I think is definitely big enough for a proper facade.

Either run it as normal, or close it and replace it in short order.

There are no other options that should be acceptable to anyone. Certainly not for more cost-saving purposes.

I think this is possibly the worst attraction Universal has ever been responsible for, and I would still rather have it open if there are no plans to replace it.

Especially where USF is a little leaner in quality attractions than IOA, USF can’t afford to have its main anchor of San Francisco just sitting vacant indefinitely if they do decide to shutter supercharged

The fact they are doing this cost cutting move makes me happy we might be one step closer to Supercharged getting put out of its misery. However, with Pokemon rumored to be replacing Simpsons in 2027 as the next big addition for USF post EU opening, it would be wise to wait for Pokemon to come online first and then shift Supercharged to a permeant seasonal attraction or close it for good. Then depending on the scope of what they want to replace Supercharged, you can have that open for the 2029 addition to USF, a year before Zelda is rumored for IOA in 2030.

Let's cool our jets on this. We're talking about a rumor building on another rumor which is building on another rumor. I'm no math major, but that equation feels a little too blue sky for this thread.

Damn, I better get my rides in on F&F next week on my vacation.....LOL.....Alene hates it, says its the worst attraction ever, and won't even go on it if there's no line, which there really rarely is anyway.....I've kind of erased its existence from my mind when I'm in the park.....But it may well last for a good while seasonally since I doubt there's a replacement greenlit.

I'm shocked.

As I had mentioned in the Kong forum, I'd rather they just cut this completely and avoid cost-cutting at other attractions.

Edit: I feel this will become another Stitch's Great Escape, return one last time during the winter and never reopen.

I really don't think this closes all together. Universal can't afford the capacity to go away like MK could. If this rumor is true then I believe it would specifically for HHN house and nothing else.

I don't think F&F is needed once DreamWorks opens. Not saying it's a 1:1 replacement, but there's no need to run F&F outside NAPA's sponsorship. USF has enough decent capacity from a numbers perspective, quality is more of the issue.

I also don't understand the logic of closing the ride during HHN unless they are planning something interesting or it's a simple cost-cutting initiative as it only runs during daytime.

I disagree. As someone that went during the busiest time of the year, capacity is an issue in both parks when busy. Dreamworks appeals to really younger kids and F&F is more all.

Yeah, if Supercharged was actually a good attraction, it would be serving a different audience of guests than DreamWorks.

(Obviously there's overlap of appeal between any two attractions anywhere, probably, but it's a matter of magnitude.)

Rumors like this are so frustrating to follow. It's so heavily based around drawing in those sweet sweet clickbait views. The article states the rumor is solely a temporary shutdown for the F&F house spot at HHN, but then rides that to lead discussion to "F&F PERMANENTLY CLOSING??? BUDGET CUTS???"

Whether it happens or not, meh. I don't see the logic in shutting down a ride that has a sponsorship when there are much bigger fish to fry in the near future (Lost Continent, FFL, Simpsons, etc.). Let it help the park capacity out. But it's also a trash ride that I struggle to muster any real feelings towards one way or another lol.

Capacity will always be an issue, but it's not as dramatic as a park like DHS or DAK that is on the cusp of collapsing lol

DAK and DHS definitely need more rides. But DAK does have all the animal trails and attractions and DHS is loaded with shows to help with the lack of rides.
