I don’t like the thought of Simpsons being left to rot. Would be a terrible look.

It’s better than nothing. Then again I should prob be careful with what I presume, who even knows what will actually happen with the pair of lands afformentioned. Whole I do admit some of this is my fault, I say this:

“Professor without knowing precisely what the danger is would you say it’s time for our viewers to crack each other’s heads open and feast on the goo inside?” “Yes I would Kent.”

Don't give them any ideas LOL. But at the very least I think Springfield wouldn't meet the same fate as LC. There have been moves like building new HHN sprung tents for when the land does eventually go.

In the case that the contract expires, wouldn’t Universal be legally obligated to remove every trace of Simpsons in the parks? Wouldn’t everything specifically tied to the IP would either need to be bulldozed or completely covered up by the expiration date?

Yea, so they remove the signs and minor facade work that was plastered onto preexisting ride, shopping, and dining buildings that were there before Simpsons. And remove the flat ride.

Kind of surprised you think this considering the very low reception to most Marvel attractions so far among hardcore Disney Parks fans.

Read WDW Magic Forums and it's pretty obvious that many think they'll ultimately get the Marvel rights for WDW and the results well be as good as the Guardians coaster. It's really just the one ride (Spider Man) and the too plain looking Marvel Campus at DCA that aren't highly thought of. The TOT transformation to Marvel is well received.

Internationally, there's also Ant-Man & The Wasp Nano Battle and Avengers Flight Force, which are generally regarded as a downgrade of what they replaced.

I feel that Mission Breakout has gotten a decently positive reception, but I wouldn't say it is without criticism. Given that it maintains the thrill aspect, it was always likely to remain popular as one of the park's prominent thrill attractions. Anecdotally, most people I've spoken outside of the hardcore theme park community miss the original ToT, and personally, I find it to be a rather insulting downgrade.

There's no doubt that Universal has done better than Disney with the Marvel franchise. And that's a large part of the Disney fan envy. ( I'm referring to WDW since Disney has access to Marvel everywhere else). But that doesn't stop the Disney fans from wishing they had complete access to it at WDW. It's a constant discussion on the WDW Magic forums, which is probably the largest forum representative of hardcore WDW fans.

Though they are some fans who feel the original TOT at DHS was far better than DCA's and thus were ok with the trade.

Yes, DCA TOT was relatively weak in comparison to TOT at WDW.
