Really dumb answer incoming, but gonna have to keep taking swings since apparently nobody is even remotely close as of yet.

* Far Side comic strip (obviously).
* This particular one from 2nd First Look website (obviously).
* Now, in this theory, the clue started at the 2nd First Look website (where the Far Side article is front & center in the Art section) - so the Far Side image is simply to get us to 2nd First Look.
* When I googled Second First Look + Horror, I came across an article entitled: First Look at Netflix's Second Season of "Dark" (First Look at Netflix’s Second Season of “Dark”).
* The 3rd and final season of Dark is slated to drop right before HHN this year.
* I don't think Stranger Things is coming, and DARK could fill the Netflix property that would be missing without ST.


Obviously @Legacy said this one was really hard. And nobody has come close yet. So I think it's gonna have to likely be a bit of luck to take us in the right direction. For the record, Dark is a really good show (in my opinion) that I could see being made into a strong house.

I feel like there’s some kind of twist to this clue similar to the “snowman” clue in Hollywood thread. If “lead” as in for pencils, Evil Dead has a pencil kill, also most notably, John Wick. I can’t think of an answer, but I feel there’s more to it.

There has been stuff that was spot on in the past years but also stuff that didn't happen. Besides that if I would have to choose which source to Trust more for JUST an overview what might come. There has been stuff that was spot on in the past years but also stuff that didn't happen. Besides that if I would have to choose which source to Trust more for JUST an overview what might come. Not suggesting that this thread is the end all be all of HHN rumors, instead that using Rix who aggregates rumors, as independent confirmation just leads to a rumor echo chamber. I could post a far flung rumor on here that he (or someone else) picks up on. If it’s reposted here it doesn’t mean it’s confirmation. This then gives some people the impression it’s happening and people get let down (or angry) when it doesn’t happen.

This isn’t to slight Rix, it’s just to keep expectations in check.

Looking up Midvale + Lead, there is something there. I don't know what, but apparently they had a huge lead problem. Here's one of the articles about it: After 23 years, Midvale Slag site is clean

I absolutly get it. But yeah I just think how Rixflix does his speculation videos it always sounds like it is comming and here in the Forum it is VERY clear that all the stuff that is discussed can be scraped at all time and might not even be planned at all. That is what I appreciate.

Real guess, I'll take THE FLY. Both because it was released in 1986 when the comic was released but also because Fly Leads are something you use when installing a cable input into the wall.

Fright Night is the “lead” for HHN. Makes sense.

A perfect example is last year with Alien. It was an understandable mix-up, and was clarified pretty quickly, but that didn't stop the echo chamber to start the "ALIEN IS COMING TO HHN?" narrative for a few more weeks.

I do not know if this is just a rabbit hole or if there's a connection, but a traveling exhibit of the Far Side was in Orlando and opened July 1st, 1987. My brain can't put much together after that, but given how some of these clues played out, it may be useful.

Looking into the clue and July 1, 1987 a book was published on that date. The book was by R.L. Stine and called “Blind Date”. So I have two guess a Blind Date House or a Goosebumps House. I’m not sure how to connect “lead” to it besides Orlando is home to Universal who’s the “lead” for HHN.

So...Since Far Side is a newspaper strip, my immediate thought went to lead, as in "lead headline".
