Weeeeeeell, except for the launch, which is more like Hulk as I recall.

For the later question, they use the wheel propulsion system throughout on Gringotts.

Oh, I am pretty sure mummy uses a magnetic launch though.

  • The launch
The ride vehicle is launched by an electro-magnetic propulsion system, and linear induction motors drive the vehicle around the ride track.
From Theme park Tourist, have seen this same info on multiple sources so maybe it is an echo but it seems to be the way

A pretty cool video with a bunch of old footage from the original ride.
The guy's channel actually has several videos with old Epcot, I've been binging them.

What has Disney even done with Japanese influence? Big Hero 6?

I would think that because it is a Marvel IP, they may not be able to get away with that.

If they can use BH6 I would say that it's just like Frozen to me. It should be at DHS, a park the desperately needs attractions and a E-Ticket BH6 attraction would be a great addition to the park.

Disney has had a BH6 M&G in the parks in a dedicated space for close to 2 years. I doubt there's a problem with using the IP.

Martin just mentioned in a thread over on Magic that the France pavilion is being looked at for expansion and apparently it's between Ratatouille or BATB. Rat is looking more likely.

He also mentions this is a project they would hope to have done for the 50th if it goes forward.

I originally thought they would do Ratatouille, but with Tokyo's upcoming BATB ride, they may want it at Epcot

So 2032? Sounds about right for WDW

I mean, the BATB ride is probably going to be better than the Rat ride is, but Ratatouille fits better imo. The movie is based in France and about French culture, which aligns with Epcot's ideals pretty well.

BATB would be just another princess ride where it doesn't belong. Not to mention there's an entire BATB section in New Fantasyland. It'd make more sense to try and fit that ride there if possible.

Would prefer Ratatouille as I feel it needs a presence compared to more Belle and princesses.

The Rat ride. Ho Hum. Another Screeenze ride from Disney. When will it stop? ;)....As Disney continues to copy Universal. Oh, how the theme park world has changed. :)

Well, if they do BATB, they can start shoehorning princess rides in all of the countries and make it a Princess World Showcase!

Yes that would be horrible.

My one caveat is that the Rat ride is pretty blah, and the BatB one could be pretty awesome if done properly. But, it could be fantasyland 2.0.

That's why I'm against BATB.

I know that BATB will be better than Rat, but Rat fits the pavilion better and we don't need WS turning into Fantasyland 2.0 as you mention.

What may help Rat get built faster is due to the placing, there will be little need for outside theme as in WDSP. It will literally be building a box and a nice entrance to the queue

I would think the biggest challenge - assuming it goes on the empty plot adjacent to France - would be possibly reworking it to unload into the main pavilion (it simply could just not and be fully adjacent akin to how Norways expansion is) or most likely reconfiguring Chefs de France to have their entry on the other side of the front of the building (the old entrance, really.)

I just talked to one of my friends with connections at Disney and wow, EPCOT is planned to get some big investments in the next few years!

I got confirmation on many of the rumored stuff mentioned here like GotG (though no Tron coaster) as well as many updates including a change back to EPCOT Center as the name!
