If I want a burger and i'm in World Showcase, I might as well just walk out International Gateway and go grab something at Big River Grill or ESPN Club.

Disney QS burgers are pretty damn nasty.

I didn't read that Burgers returned to Pecos Bills. That's hilarious. To me Pecos Bill always equaled "Cheap Cheeseburger", and I was kind of shocked that they made such a drastic change. Looks like the Burger eating public has spoken.

Honestly, the new menu at Pecos fits the theme much better.

I agree, and I haven't eaten at Pecos Bill since I was a teenager. My dad always insisted we go there, and I never liked it. Will probably go now that they have Tex-Mex food.

pinning portion entirely out of Mission:Space....let me explain. I've heard they're running most of the simulators on the GREEN, non-spinning side now, and if they don't spin...the whole idea of a ride you actually interact with comes into play. The scenes and experiences can change depending on your input. It couldn't happen with the spinning ones because the other centrifuge portions relied on all experiences being the same...movement-wise.

The last few times I was at Epcot 3/4 of the simulators were orange, one was green, and orange still had a line when green had none.

I wish WDW would discontinue all park dining reservations. The restaurants aren't that good.

I think some are definitely pretty good, but I agree. Get rid of the meal plan and ADRs.

What you don't enjoy the fun of trying to get dinner at Beast's Castle but not being able to because all reservations were gone 5 months and 29 days ago?

Personally I feel like most of the restaurants in Epcot are just above average and ALL overpriced. Reserving a table for lunch/dinner has become just as "important" as booking your fast passes. Half the time I feel most people just book tables to have one booked and never show up or cancel last minute. A lot of these restaurants have tables available from reservations that never show up. I've walked in to quite a few places without reservations.

the popularity of Beast castle is crazy, that's mainly because it's also an "attraction" to many folks. I've sure the food isn't really worth all the hassle. I've never been able to get in personally, but I'm more than happy at my quiet upstairs table at Harbor House.

Why are you all going to America to eat when you have all the other pavilions to go to? We live in America, walk down the street to McDonald's and your technically eating American. Also say what you want, those funnel cakes are the best

I don't eat there other than funnel cakes (which I think that stand should stay), but I think it is a shame that people from other countries only get to experience burgers as "American" food. It should be real American food, not that crap. All the other countries have WAY better food.

Mad Dog said:
You make a good point. It's like when I see posters on different sites complaining about Mythos' menu since they don't have more McDonalds' type food for their kids. So many people have such pedestrian food tastes. Hamburgers, French Fries, Chicken tenders, Hot dogs every meal, every day, at home & vacation. That's probably the reason Disney returned Hamburgers to the Pecos Bill menu a couple of weeks ago.

Agreed, people eat crap all day every day. And that can be one of the stations. But why not have some actual good American food so that the people who are not from America get a taste of our country and not what lazy Americans are eating these days. Sorry, I get on such a rant about food because I hate when I am with other people who have kids and we have to dumb down our eating options because of their kids. Or they bring in outside food for their child because they know they won't eat anything. Sad really that we cater to kids like this. My child eats what is put in front of her, end of story. Now I realize my child does eat way more stuff than most kids, but I have to imagine it has something to do with the fact she has always eaten what we eat.

I don't mind reservations or dining plans. Honestly it has allowed them to open more eateries which I think have been pretty good places. I also see Universal following suit soon, so your complaint will have to follow over to Uni. I also have no issues getting reservations 85% of the time. So really for me it is no biggie. I just find places 24 to 48 hours in advance when people have to cancel before their credit card gets charged.

my father in law would rather eat a burger king burger over something at a gastropub any day of the week. People like bland food. He also thinks the whole "craft beer thing" is a phase, and is pissed when he goes to a more upscale restaurant that doesn't sell coors light.

I think people have been raised on this food for so long that it's just become what's expected. so so sad.

Agreed, My husband grew up much differently than I did. He started trying different things and cooking things differently after tasting the food I ordered and cooked. He wanted to go to Burger King the one night, I said no way, those burgers taste like cardboard. He now tells me I have ruined him from ever being able to go to Burger King because after getting the burger all he could taste was cardboard now lol But he was young and willing to change when he tasted my food and realized it tasted better. But older folks or young kids are not going to change. But I still think they could offer burgers at a station and then offer other things that people might like. I currently just avoid that place and go elsewhere. Epcot has so many good food places no need to go there. But I just think it would be good for foreign people to taste real American food from around the country.

Oh, and I have met people from Germany and they say the German place is decent German food. It is hit or miss on items, but overall it is an OK representation of their food.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I love me a good Big Mac or Whopper every once in a while. I eat the burgers at Burger Digs in the Discovery Center with no complaint because the theming is so epic and the view from the balcony escorts me to nirvana. My post was more aimed at the crap theming and the void of a cafeteria dining room. It is absolutely horrid there.

So they're running mostly green except when you go when it's actually mostly orange. Also Disney has not changed the film at all so no interactive portions are in the green film. I've been on both, soft opening to very recently and nothing has changed minus Gary giving you a post landing "welcome to mars" speech.

Pretty much all the food at Disney's table service restaurants are overpriced. But a few months back I did have a cool experience in Epcot. We had dinner at Nine Dragons and the food was actually really good. Plus, there were some views of Reflections of Earth during the meal, which I did not expect at all. THEN, the park was closed and nobody rushes you out whatsoever. In fact, they actually had a voiceover in the park's speakers giving some facts about ROE while I got to explore China and the other countries on my way out with nobody in them and I had a nice leisurely stroll at night back to the front of the park.

Ugh. I have so much nostalgia for Epcot. Dinner and some of a 16-year-old nighttime show should not be the highlight of my visit to the park, but it is.
