Yes Universal planned the whole breakdown today *nods* I like that reasoning because they obviously are not trying to have it ready for package holders that would just be crazy talk. So they got all these TMs to run in there only to disappoint them & screw with their excitement why didn't I think of that? (yup sarcasm folks it's flowing out of me)

So in a happy note we should enjoy spending out cash at the merch. shops & on food tomorrow which is better than nothing I guess?

Sooo maybe im a dumb (__!__) today or just having my one of many brainfarts but did you agree or disagree with me here?

I've posted the full ride description in the spoilers thread for those who would like to read it. Please leave the spoilers in the spoilers thread.

^Ah gotcha, so I wonder if it is true that a group of guests were able to sneak around the back.

Regarding the estop. Universal cannot let people ride this ride without getting an evac certification, ESPECIALLY since the ride is indoors.

They need to make sure this ride can handle crowds, they are s**tting bricks right now that the ride went down less than an hour into the TMs trying it out.

I am going to agree, I think this was planned. The preview was announced on short notice, only was going to last 4 hours, and went down within 10 seconds. IMO they planned it for practice but did it in a way so that no one (including us) would have any information to spread to the world. And unfortunately from what it sounds like it worked. They got certification and practice for their employees and we got jack****. BTW this is my opinion, so dont counter with the negative thoughts or crap act your age, keep an open mind, and relax.

Wouldn't they want people all over the queue, ride, and exit shop to do a full shutdown/evac test? Obviously every scene is different with regard to location in the building, arm rotation, environment (carousel vs actual scenes vs...)

The ride vehicles and show components should always do the same thing in an e-stop or other emergency, but you also have real people here, and they do people things. Why not wait until hour #3 to test this thing, so you can get some throughput on the ride, and then test an emergency of some sort?

It's pretty damn rude to brag to your employees that the ride is open for four hours for testing, then intentionally shut it down without reopening it.

I ALMOST read that. But then when I got to the first word, I pretty much died. I'm pretty sure I closed that tab so quickly that it closed before I clicked the little X. I honestly will **** bricks if I get to ride this Saturday. Like, OH MY GOD.

they're just describing the scenes, it shouldn't really get you that excitied (it didn't get me at least)

it's almost impossible to explain the movement of the ride, which they didn't

So basically it's a screen-based attraction.

Our anonymous source now says he made it all up and didn't ride. What's true? Worried about his job or a very good storyteller?

I was about to read, but then I didn't. I'm getting really really excited!!!! I want to ride NOW!!!!! I get there on Monday and was planing on going to IOA on Friday due to the longer park hours but if there's any indication that the ride is working I might just screw my plan and go to IOA on Tuesday. By the way guys, do you know at what time the ticket booths open? I want to get there really early, but what's the point if I still have to wait to get my ticket.

Did I happen to see a post a while back that stated that the package holders AND the onsite hotel guests would be let in? I got a package before a Harry Potter package was released, then was talked out of changing it by the reservation people. :\ Either way, I guess I will find out late next week!

its strange how they dont mention the womping willow... universal was saying that a 'life size womping willow' was a big effect in the ride??
makes me think that it was made up and a fake report!

I knew it!!!!! I was about to post that all that story said was talk about known ride elements, and to add in Voldemort, when he's never been mentioned whatsoever.

The ride is based around and escaped dragon, hence the film of Hagrid telling you to be careful. (this is not fact, just my opinion)

Ok I started to read it but got too detailed too quickly so I stopped. I don't want to know anymore until I see it for myself!

Ok I also got the requested info on the Butterbeer and Pumpkin Juice. Both formulas were made by UO chefs (with direction from JKR (along with many tatse tests)) and the contract to produce the butterbeer and pumpkin juice for Taps and fountains (I.E. the syrup) comes from Bar Control of florida located in Orlando. The bottled pumpkin juice is made somewhere up north and my source could not get the name of the bottler but niether Butterbber or Pumpkin juice are affiliated with CocaCola,. Also I should point out that both reciped are propriotary to Universal Orlando AND J.K. Rowling and will probably never be on sale anywhere outside of the theme parks (or maybe one of the discount stores).

I didn't want to share what I know for fear of getting someone fired but I got a small go ahead.
I can say kickman is correct. Coke has nothing to do with the Pumpkin, Apple, and Pear juice. They are all being manufactured by the same company in the northeast.
